Yeah, go Yoshi! Although you have to admitt, he is a bit wimpy.

In Super Mario World, he is afraid of ghosts and castles--that's why he always stays behind whenever Mario enters a Ghost House or a Koopa Kid's castle/fortress.

I would like to say a few things about yosh.
(since my mom is using the phone, and I had to disconnect.)

Yoshi is a small lovable little... thing?
But does anyone know what he is?
A dinosaur. yoshi saved mario and luigi in *SMW2.YI* and In *SMW* mario saves yoshi.
and where does yoshi live? Yoshi`s island.
(duh) but where is yoshi`s island?

In dinosaur land. mario rescuse him and his
buddys. And (this is off subject but,) have
you ever noticed on nintendo.com in the SMA3
pics there was a picture of a koopa troopa,
and it says its a yoshi! They might have fixed it but most likely not.

and so no further more yoshi is sweet!!!
(he saved mario and luigi!)

Asking a Mario player if he likes Yoshi is like asking a 7 year old if they like pizza. (Of course, I hate pizza. See you do have those people who hate Yoshi, but they are rare and people look at them funny. It's true. Same with pizza.) Anyway, Without Yoshi...

I couldn't score a 96 in SMW...
Due to the VOB4 -------> SR5 exit.
And I'd have a really, really hard time with Tubular.
And I wouldn't be able to go under a 1'20"00 in Mario Raceway in MK64 without hopping the wall...
And possibly the greatest 2D platformer of all time, SMW2, wouldn't even exist.
And in Mario Golf, there'd be no straight hitting character distance-wise between Peach and Maple (I'm pretty sure that was her name... She is my favorite in-game character in that game and I can't really remember her name... GAH!). (I only play with straight hitting characters)
And I'd really have no chance in MP3 Duel mode against my inanely lucky friend Nick (who plays as Waluigi). (He has beaten me in 2 turns once)

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY:

The greatest video game of all time (in my opinion), Tetris Attack, would never have been made.

As you can see, Yoshi is a rather... how shall I put this... IMPORTANT Mario character... And, for some reason, he is included in the list of SMBHQ's Neglected Mario Characters... I think he is less neglected than Mario is.

My last comment, I am surprised he has put up with all of Mario's abuse without going crazy for over 10 years. I duly respect that, and if I were him, I would have attempt to waste Mario about 15 mins into SMW. Lol.
