I haven't been keeping up with this thread, so I didn't know it was my turn.  Anyway, maybe it would go faster if two people ask a question at a time......that way people that don't know one of them can try their luck at the other one.

So if everyone don't mind, here is another question.....

How many Goombas are there in Super Mario Bros.?

Actually, there is a finite amount of Goombas.  You will never see the same Goomba twice, unless you die or there is a glitch in your game.

Wait...what about Goombas in the "New Quest" mode Peach gives ya after you beat the game? Would those count too? ...Wait, I think all the Goombas become Buzzy Beetles at that point. Never mind...

Edit: Yay! I got the 500th reply!!

YI question! I mean... Really, I don't care, but I'd say I'd have about a 10,000,000x better chance of getting the YI question.

Alright then...

Question.
Which castle/fortress level in Yoshi's Island can be beaten with an extra key?  That is, when the level's over, you will still have a key that was never used.

Hmmm, evaluate:

1-4: 1 key, definately needed
1-8: one key, definately needed.
2-4: one key... I'm almost sure it is definately needed.
2-8: Fuzzy gray matter
3-4: No keys If I remember correctly.
3-8: No keys
4-4: 4 keys. All needed.
4-8: One keey. Needed.
5-4: Fuzzy gray matter. I don't think there were keys.
5-8: No keys
6-4: 2 keys, both needed.
6-8: no keys... except for door 2, and it is needed.

So, we're down to 2-8 and 5-4. That si before I check...

Bah! It's 2-4! There's a way to get to the exit without opening that door.

Congratulations! You have just been blessed by the wisdom of Steve.

Marching Milde's Fort, I believe. (??)
Or is it Prince Froggy's Fort?

That is correct!

You can lick up one of the shy guy ghosts from the passageway on the other side of the flippers, then spit it out in the open area and do a high flutter off its head.

Anyway, the question is thine.

Actually, I know for a FACT it is Bigger Boo's Fort. I actually did it about 15 minutes ago.

Marching Milde's Fort happens to be my favorite level of ANY Mario game... so I SHOULD know about it. All 4 keys in the level are needed.

So, the answer is 2-4.

Erm, I did it a different way: I don't even NEED the ghost! Yoshi CAN jump 5 blocks high if you time the hover JUST right.

And a new question? Well... I'll come up with something soon. A YI question, most likely.

Congratulations! You have just been blessed by the wisdom of Steve.

That post wasn't there when I started...

Anyway, Steve's right.  It's 2-4.
