Ok, now to use this format for yourself, place this code at the very bottom of any post, making sure you edit the Name, Avatar, and Title fields to put your username, avatar's URL, and personal title.

Now, unless Deezer manages to fix the single quote doubling, you can't put this in your sig so you'll have to save it to a text file and paste it at the bottom of every post. But once you've put this on one post it covers for every post of yours on that same page.

Well, if Deezer was kind enough to remove the <script> censor, I could put all that into a .js file as a function and people could call it from a script tag, removing the need for more than one kind of quote mark.

Oh, and anyone who wants their avatar centered can just put <center> tags around the <img> tag

I did because people could rewrite other people's messages or cause all sorts of other kinds of trouble (and coupled with IE's insecurities, probably hack computers as well).

Sorry, but I know too much about these forums to be limited by the censors. Anybody who's serious enough to try and hack computers or rewrite messages(which can be done through a different exploit here) can find the way to evade censors and even bans. People can run scripts through the censors, so it's just a waste of our time(it takes longer to post through them) for you to censor script and onload. Don't you want avatars available after so many people have wanted them?

... I disagree with this statement. There are all sorts of script kiddies who don't know wth they're doing, they just cut & paste code in. Yes, there is the possibility for people to evade the censors, but at least it stops people from breaking the board by putting in invalid code (kinda like that "Edited by CashCrazed" line that's sitting at the top of this thread).

I already argued for upgrading the board for a variety of reasons, least of which were avatars, but ran into opposition.

Didn't notice that, ok the edit line's fixed, but I guess you're right about people breaking the board. In that case, I've got an idea. Being that there's custom sutff like the "The Mushroom Kingdom Message Board" banner at the top and the links at the bottom, there must be some sort of headers and footers code you can edit. I can write a function, similiar to what you've seen, to give anyone the function is called for an avatar and/or personal title. People send requests for avatars, you put up a new function call in the footer giving them an avatar. Nobody breaks tables, since all the control is in your hands. And if you don't feel like answering too many requests, say that whatever avatar file they choose is permanent, so the only way to edit the avatar for them is to edit and re-upload the file the URL references(unless their host goes down). Sound reasonable?

Hey, I'm the one who offered to do the avatar code! I'm also the reason HTML got (legitimately)enabled here in the first place! (I made a suggestion to enable HTML but censor all the harmful tags, like script, div, table, and now it seems onload. Deezer actually took it.)
