I love trench coats.  Mario might actually look pretty cool in one of those, but he must still have the overalls underneath.  As for the no shirt, no, nooooonononono! o.O It's a family oriented series for crying out loud!  And we don't need any cracks showing either. o.O  Wait, the butt crack wasn't mentioned, BUT STILL!!  We don't need it!

Yeah, but did you mention a shirtless Mario with a potbelly? o.O ew  Even if he had a belt, his pants would still probably fall a little, and we don't need that.  As pointed out before, he needs the beer belly or else he wouldn't be the Mario we know and love. Overalls stay.

I agree with YES.  Mario just wouldn't be the same without his overalls, same with any other piece of clothing he orignally had.  Mario just wouldn't be Mario without them.  Period.
