So it seems Adam Copeland (otherwise known as Edge) has actually been forced to retire by his doctors because his spine is so messed up, that even one more match could potentially paralyze him for life or even kill him.

I'm watching his retirement speech right now, and its just heartbreaking to see him announce this to fans.

So it turns out all the major internet sites were laundering money.

Of course, this means the US is going to completely shut down all of them. And, oh look, I have $4,650 on them that I can't withdraw, and may actually be seized by the government. Land of the free and all that.

I am genuinely considering expatriation.

Anyway, about Encyclopedia Dramatica...

NOOO! Please tell me someone archived it! Now where am I supposed to go to ironically look at pornographic gifs and bigoted descriptions of 4chan memes?

...But seriously, this actually really is bumming me out. I don't know why... I know it was a professional deal behind the scenes like any other website, but there was something entertaining about a place so shamelessly perverse as that existing, to help people make sense of pop culture and viciously mock it at the same time. Now, all that's left is another clean 'n' corporate webpage--at least KnowYourMeme was relatively inoffensive to begin with, before it got ensnared by the Cheezburger network. Am I the only one who thinks "the internet" stops being funny when you compile it like that? Next thing you know, Google will buy 4chan.

See, this is one of the reasons why print is better than digital: Back issues. Oh, well--you know which song this calls for...
