We started the 17th, I believe. Gah, I don't even remember because Belton High CONSTANTLY changed their starting dates.
In elementary, it was the Monday AFTER Labor Day. Now it has been debated from August 27th to August 12th! They finally settled on the 17 for some reason, but rumor is next year it'll be normal.
Living in Central Texas... hmm, well, my sophomore year was like a virtual turn-around of 8th and 9th (except friends, I'm gaining more!). My teachers all rock and if they're stupid I have at least one cool person in my class to even it out. It's all good!
