I'm glad I read the book after I saw the movie, because, for the most part, they had jack in common (though, who came up with the Point of View Gun? That's awesome).

I would normally post this in the HOPEFUL thread, but since I can't, I'm going to go ahead and say that the best Superbowl of all time was played today. The Giants beat the unbeatable Patriots. Sorry for not being pointless. :(

I too am glad Giants won.  I don't care for either team, but I really did not want to see Patriots win.

I personally believe this was the greatest Superbowl ever played. A bunch of Superbowls have been very close just like this one, but because the hype for it was so big and the stakes were EXTREMELY high, 42 tops all the others.

EDIT: Gasp! I finally know why the super computer in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy said 42 was the meaning of life!

I never payed much attention to the hype... mostly just ate junk food and watched the ads yesterday. Bummer for the Patriots...
