The Mario series is the best! It has every genre in video games but RTS'! It also has a plumber who does different roles, a princess, and a lot of odd creatures who don't seem to poop!

Interesting note: Upon Googling the word "Jew", this disclaimer by the Google team appears in both the "sponsored links" section and as one of the first search results. Before anyone asks, I had searched it to see if joke threads still appear before serious results like they do for Helen Keller and Anne Frank.

In other words, I'm awed at the number of people still unaware of the horrors and general unpleasantries contained within the internet's darker corners.

This pointless post has been brought to you by Weegee.

Why would that be awe-worthy, Weegee? Give millions of people to ability to exchange any information they want, in total anonymity, and with no physical repurcussions, and horrible [dukar] is going to be among the first things produced.

If you're unaware of this stuff, you're god[darn] lucky.

That's oddly specific... but I guess it makes sense.

I'm saying that the number of people who still take offense at the internet's awfulest [dukar] is astounding.

I'd say the people who flip out that there isn't a perfect solution to block all offensive stuff. Setting aside the subjective nature of what's offensive and what's not, it's impossible to have a filter that blocks everything. Which is why I got mad at that one story saying China wanted Google to block all offensive stuff. That's not easy to do. And there's suspicion that they're not holding China-based search engines up to the same standards, but whatever.

Still, I'm always a little concerned whenever I do a Google Images search. Most of the time everything's fine, but it takes just one porn image to screw everything up.

As for people who take offense at the internet's "awfulest" stuff... give it time, I'm sure something even more awful will come along. There's usually comedy to be had in seeing or reading people's reactions. What is surprising is how quickly people will get used to it.
You didn't say wot wot.

You seem to be thinking that the only people who use the internet are as jaded and callous as you and I. While standard fare like tasteless Jew and dead-baby jokes fail to faze me anymore, I am still sometimes genuinely, deeply disturbed at what will occasionally creep into my radar, be it a story, video, webite, or blog comment, because it is a completely human response.

Weegee, if you have truly conditioned yourself to the point where shock and offense are alien concepts to you, I can only shudder at the thought of how non-human it must have left you.

At any rate, it's ironic considering that Google is owned and operated by the Je-- BAD WEEGEE

Bottom line: It's funny that old people complain about how Google lets bigotry into its search results.
