Perhaps, but one should always heed Bridget's Law, which states": The more innocent an anime girl looks, the more likely she's actually a man in disguise".

EDIT: Screw it.

As noted, I know, but it seems yet to be discussed here.

Thank you. Now that the issue has been thoroughly addressed, let's move on.

Quick question for y'all: My friend recently began considering getting a PS3 solely to play LittleBigPlanet, plus a handful of other exclusives whose names escape me. Is this at all justifiable?

As long as those exclusives include Uncharted 1 and 2, Ratchet and Clank Future 1 and 2, and inFAMOUS.

I bought a PS3 for Valkyria Chronicles and Demon Souls.

I'm not crazy about Little Big Planet or most of the games Turtlekid listed, but I don't regret the purchase.

If I had a PS3, I would get Demon's Souls and the God of War collection, and maybe Eye of Judgment. Plus a few others that I can't think of right now.

If he already has a 360, Wii, and DS I'd say buying a PS3 is "justifiable". Otherwise, not.

Why do you care? It's his money, let him do what he wants with it.
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

Heck, that's basically what I did. Then again, it was one of the older models...

Well, that's a whole 'nother issue.  I was considering not bothering with a PS3 because it wasn't backwards compatible before the price drop.

I didn't think it was backwards-compatible period. If it costs some amount to integrate that PS2 chip into the PS3, how can the cost of components for PS3 drop enough that you can also throw in a PS2 chip and still have the whole thing cost less than at launch? Has that happened, or are they just taking more of a loss on each one sold?

You didn't say wot wot.

Just curious on his behalf. He's mainly into alien-shooters to the likes of Halo, so I doubt he'll go for Sony.

It's still not backwards compatible, just slightly cheaper and thus slightly more worth consideration.  Here's hoping for an even bigger price reduction for Christmas (the same goes for Metroid Prime Trilogy and NSMBW).
