General Chat / My 1000th post celebration!

I was posting a pivitol chapter in my story, SSB WWE Style!  When I realized I had gone over 1000 posts!  I thought it would take me a lot longer than it did, but I'm here.  I have added a chapter to my forum life as yet another person going over 1000 posts!  Let me exclaim this with a giant Ric Flair style, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

General Chat / The Super Bowl!

Yeah, exactly one week, seven days from tonight, the biggest sports spectacular of the year, Super Bowl XXXVIII!! Or 38 for those who don't know their Roman numerals.  It is the Carolina Panthers, who have made it this far from Wild card weekend, against the New England Patriots who hold the best record in the NFL at 16-2.  The Patriots boast a perfect season at home.  And they also boast a 13-14 game winning streak.  But the Carolina Panthers won't be that easy to defeat.  The Patriots got by the Colts, maybe just because Peyton Manning threw 4 interceptions.  They will need their shut down defense to be at its best on Super Bowl Sunday. Or the Panthers could become just the second Wild card team since the Raiders (don't know the year) to win it all.  It will be an intersting game to watch.  The Patriots are 6 point favorites.

One day on peaceful Popstar,  Dedede sat in his chair awaiting his newest monster, Lemmy.

"I hope this Lemmy Koopa is better than the other monsters I got from this bum in the past.  If Lemmy does his job,  I can forget about those others like they aint never existed!  Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hah aha ha!"  Dedede said.  Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi got sucked through a porthole and found themselves on Popstar.

General Chat / Fungi Forums 2003: A year in review

2003 was a year of changes in the Fungi Forums and TMK.  We saw several new members join, such as.. well there's too many to list.  We also saw older members return.  There were happy moments, such as the 2000th and 3000th posts in the Mario Bar and Mario Word association, and sad moments such as the parting of Watoad, and the news of Axem Green's (AKA Tony Hinneman. Don't shoot me if I spelled his name wrong) death.

There was the start of my club/ restaurant, The Circle, the start of Club '86, and several other memorable moments.  One I forgot was one of the greatest Mario fanfics ever, "the Prophecy" was introduced by Sapphira.  Another great fic was Insane Steve's "The third attempt"  Then, there were my colossal flops, "The fight for Freedom", and "The Mushroom Kingdom Conquest"

All in all, it was a great year for the Fungi forums.  Feel free to post any tidbit or event that I forgot.

Ah, Christmas time has come and gone, now what?  I guess we go back to talking about regular stuff.  That's what this thread is for.  Here you can talk about what you did for Christmas, where you went, who you saw, and whether the big guy stopped by your house or not.  But you need to remember, presents aren't the reason for the season.  As Garfield would say: "It's not the giving, it's not the getting, it's the loving."
