I can think of a few Nintendo characters I wouldn't mind seeing bellydancing... just not Yoshi.

People having crushes on people in real life they're too shy to approach and will thus never get: acceptable
People having crushes on celebrities, especially married ones, who they will never get: less acceptable
People having crushes on video game characters who aren't real to begin with: what's the matter with you

Don't let me fool you; of all my friends who are gamers enough to know that Samus is actually a woman under her helemt, I think I'm actually the only one who doesn't have a crush on her... I don't know if you were implying that I did or not, but I refuted it anyway.

What's the matter with me?  Plenty of things.  But not liking game characters.

I honestly don't see the big difference between these two.

I once made a post to that effect somewhere around here.
That was a joke.

I think it's ridiculous to criticize people attracted to videogame characters. I mean, what, I'm supposed to pretend to get turned on by women who aren't as hot because they're... "real"? Besides, there's a difference between "Oh, hey, she's sexy" and a full-blown crush.

And after all those silicon implants and face lifts and whatnot... how "real" are those celebrities anyway?

Is there anyone that's not true of? Besides me?

Or were you speaking metaphorically?
