I hate how racing games always feature dynamically-angled preview shots. This Mario Kart should change camera angles every five seconds during play, just to show how ridiculous all those head-on shots are.

Haha, agreed.

I enjoyed the feel of MKDS a lot more than MKW so I hope MK3DS continues that lineage. SNAKING FOREVER.

I also eagerly anticipate relishing the hack-free, pirate-free early days of the 3DS lifespan. LEGIT FOREVER.

A bridge, a beach, a forest, an airy place with lots of pipes, an open area with colorful trees... I'd hope for some more originality in the next batch of screens, but there's some things you have to accept about the Mario Kart series at this point. Driving through Peach's Castle looks cool, though.

It looks like Nintendo used the same "Mario and Luigi driving through some unknown courses in basic karts" idea that they have been using to introduce a new Mario Kart since Double Dash. Regardless, I like the graphical enhancements of the 3DS and I have a feeling this game will be great!
The Mario series is the best! It has every genre in video games but RTS'! It also has a plumber who does different roles, a princess, and a lot of odd creatures who don't seem to poop!

Oh yes, I think that this Mario Kart game will be rather great. Besides, although I see 3DS as yet another handheld in the DS line, It does appear to be a perfect companion to the Wii, even more so than the current DS. I do wonder what use would the analog stick have in the 3DS.

That second-to-last shot interests me the most, I believe.  Those most certainly look like Miis, and it seems odd that they'd put those in the game without having the 3DS having outside usage of them.  Maybe I'm just wildly speculating, though...
If she is indeed genetically mutated such that she has an eye in the back of her head, then I guess that she is genetically mutated and has an eye in the back of her head.

This Pilotwings Resort shot makes it look like you play as Miis in there. Remember that Miis were originally going to be a DS thing in the first place. There's already a couple of DS games with some Mii usage, so I think it's a safe bet that the 3DS has full Mii support.

Yeah, that didn't really surprise me at all. That's a DSi feature at this point, isn't it?

No, just a Personal Trainer Walking feature.

The 3DS will probably have full connectivity with the Wii, as well.

Incidentally, since it hasn't been brought up yet in this thread: The second and second-to-last shots up there are on Wuhu Island.

How that place became anything that needed to show up more than once is beyond me.

Oh, and there must be some Wuhu Island/Lost joke image out there. Someone find it for me.

Needs a MAJOR anti-aliasing job.

Otherwise to me it just looks like DS graphics with 2x more polygons.

I know it's probably not technologically better than Mario Kart Wii, but to me, it looks better than it. Kinda like how Wind Waker looks better than Twilight Princess, I guess.

I wonder how the Rainbow Road would look like in this game. If it would be something like a mixture of all of the previous Rainbow Roads, I would be delighted.

Just imagine if Nintendo forgot to fix the start/finish and you could get on top of a solid structure next to it, drive around on it in circles and win within 30 seconds. That happened with Grumble Volcano from MKW.

Uh, that exploit is pretty hard to execute. Anyways, I doubt any SUPER AWESOME RACE-WINNING glitches would get through testing.

I can't wait for Mario Kart in 3D, as well as sharp graphics, new courses, and likely new characters! :)

It should be like SNES RR, except with a narrower road and sharp, acute corners.
