How do you beat the 15 minute melee?
I've tried Bowser, DK, Ice climbers, and Samus. They all failed me.
I am Doc. Cann.E.Bol. I am a cannibal?! Huh! Who knew?

There is no set way to beat it. but there are two main methods.

The first requires:
- A good character with a decent strategy,
- A good deal of patience, and
- A lot of luck.

...I passed it using Yoshi, and eventually getting a hold of a screw attack.  Jump, jump, stomp.  Death going up, death coming down.
From there, it was just hoping a bob-omb wouldn't spawn on top of me while screw-jumping during the last 15 seconds... AGAIN.

The other method is cowardice, going by the theory that the enemies won't become harder if you don't kill them.  I don't know if it works.

I used Ness, and with practice, was able to fly side-to-side continuously, so that nobody could reach me. This was done using PK Thunder. Blast yourslef to one side, jump up and blast to the other! I used Jigglypuff, of all people, to get 7 KO's in Cruel Melee. Rest is good for dispersing large groups.

I continually used DK's ground slap (B-down) for the whole 15 minutes. However you have to watch out for bob-ombs and grab any pokeballs that appear if you use this method.
