I made some updates to the Youshi Touch & Go ranks page. If you want your scores on the page, post them here.

Here's a new challenge for you: In YT&G get all eight scores in every mode higher than the original high scores. I've done it for Score and Time Attack Modes.

A couple of quick questions/comments:
1) What's up with the left/right yoshi heads?

2) Purple Yoshi-get 0 points on the baby mario stage in challenge mode.This Yoshi carries 50 eggs.

3) White Yoshi-get 0 points on baby mario stage in time attack mode.This yoshi can carry unlimited eggs.

1) Under "Options" (touch the wrench at the bottom left of the main menu) you can change Yoshi's Direction. The head points the direction Yohsi faces and the screen scrolls

POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW

2 & 3) I tried several times and did not get a purple Yoshi. I got the standard green one every time. I've seen these "cheats" on several sites, but no one could confirm them. Can you?

I've gotten both the purple and white Yoshis. I wish I didn't know about 'em, though. Kinda takes the fun out of trying for a better Yoshi (I was so pleased when I ended up with a black Yoshi with 77 eggs in Challenge) when you can just get a purple or white one with minimal effort...

Wow. 77 eggs. That's awesome. The most I got was in the fifties. I thought about put the egg capacity on the page for high scores made with black Yoshi. What do you think?

You got the Purple Yoshi? How? I'll try again, and if it works I will post it in the spoilers section of the webpage.

I got purple one in Challenge Mode. I wonder if I did something wrong before, if it's random, or all works after some special event in the game (like unlocking the balloon pop minigame).

Fifth, I just got 478 points in ScoreAttack (beat your high score), but three other people on the Nsider forums beat me (assuming they aren't lying):

1st:Yetanothernintendofreak: 546

2nd:Keeldish: 503

3rd: Dspowner: 486

I was very skeptical about the other yoshi colors, but I tried them both and got them to work.

Also, I played some more today and I have one more score to report:

I'm the same KEELDISH from the Nsider forums, so I decided to post here too. Here's my new high scores, I posted them on those forums too. And, just for the record, I'm not lying : )

I am editing this post again because of a new high score in score attack.
Score Attack: 632 points; black,closed mouth right facing. 4-05-2005
Marathon: 10,621 yds; bronze/gold,closed mouth right facing. 3-31-2005
Time Attack: 2:36:6; red, open mouth, right facing. 4-04-2005
Challenge: 4,279yds; yellow, closed mouth, right facing. 4-02-2005
Balloon pop mini-game: 131

I'll post the new SM64DS and YT&G scores Monday night. I've spent too much time today working on the general plan for the WarioWare Touched! high scores page. I promise that it will look a lot better when I finish it. For now I must get some sleep. I've been sleeping late all spring break, but have to get up early (my over sleeping + an hour for DST). Weeh.
