I'm going to get right in and unleash my feelings about the word "bludgeon."

Bludgeon... it's so simple, yet refined and mature...

Its definition and connotation just leak from its lettering and sound like he savory liquids from a hamburger. Bludgeon. The presence of the "udge" really add the oomph to it. It sounds fierce. It sounds brutal. But at the same time, you can look at it and tell that it's not all beatings and violence. Even when not physically harmed, a villain can be bludgeoned with justice. A mother bludgeons her children with love. A liar will bludgeon you with insincerity.

Bludgeon... it's the best word in the English language.

I really like the word the, just because speech would be insanely difficult without it. I also like the term "albeit" because it's awesome and confuses less educated people when you use it, even though it simply means "all be it."

I suppose this thread isn't about intrinsically funny words, but "oats" or words ending with said series of letter crack me up for some reason (especially when said alone).
