Both Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 were great, but I don't know if you would enjoy them because they don't exactly use 'conventional' weapons (Samus's arm cannon).  Also, I havn't played MP - Hunters yet, but i have heard good things about it.

Maybe not many of you play Gunbound or Rakion, but they are both great games.  They are available at softnyx.net.  Rakion is a 3rd person action game where you kill other players with swords/bows/magic/etc, and Gunbound puts you in command of a one person mobile where you try to destroy other player's mobiles.  I love them both, particularly Gunbound, and am interested to know what other people think of them.
