Not at the Dinner Table / Re: Religion
« on: August 15, 2002, 05:39:49 PM »
Frostbite, that is the most intelligent post I have ever seen on the internet. Bravo! That made for a very interesting read. I have to say I never even sat down and thought about it like that. Very good.
Of course there is the theorie of multiple santas for every continent or country. Or that the elves help out.
But anyway, Santa doesn't exist, we all know that.
And my religion is christian, and my denomination is Methodist.

I only used HTML once, and I was very tired and angry (my site got deleted without warning).
But after the god-awful Cheese topic that almost destroyed the space-time-continuim, I'll just stick to plain old text.

There you go again...
I'm sorry I called you an ass.
But Gamecube may be small but THAT'S FOR CONVIENIENCE!!! It's the 2nd most powerful console ever, and you think £130/$150 is too much?!
THE N64 WAS £250/$250 ON RELEASE!!!
And anyway, the only systems that lasted as long as the Gamecube's expectancy are NES, PSX, and Gameboy.

Vegeta, YOU ASS. OH MY GOD YOU'RE SO DUMB. If you'd payed any attention to the pros, then you'd know he was simply saying that the Gamecube would have a longer run than, say, the n64 and Snes. Expect a new console around 2008.

I LOVE YOUR UNCLE! Lol, just kidding. Anyway, those are great games that you chose, although I do think it's strange that you chose SMAS+ over Yoshi's Island.
However, these are my top 20:

1.Shadowman
2.Donkey Kong Country 2
3.Super Mario Sunshine
4.Zelda: Link to the Past
5.Donkey Kong 64
6.Gauntlet 2
7.Mickey Mouse: Forest of Illusion
8.Zelda: Ocarina of Time
9.Final Fantasy 3/6
10.Super Mario All Stars
11.Banjo-Kazooie
12.Sonic 3 & Knuckles
13.Sonic Adventure
14.Mega Games 2
15.Kloana 2
16.Zelda: Majora's Mask
17.Captain Skyhawk
18.Mario Kart 64
19.Tiny Toons
20.Super Smash Brothers 64

It was in a ton of UK mags, mentioned on GameFAQs, mentioned in a Yuji Naka interview, and there was a feature on IGN.

There is actually a game in development for the advanced named "Sonic and Shadow".

How am I a ****ing moron? Shigsy said himself that the tenative title was The legend of Zelda: Reborn.
And anyway, Shadowman has the qualities to be the best game ever made. How isn't it? The story is absolutely amazing, and ties in with the bible real well. The graphics are superb if you have a good video and graphics card (the n64 and DC versions are also beauties). The music is amazingly atmospheric and oh so cool. The gameplay is out of this world, with great handling and variety. One second you're riding a subway train, the next you're in the sewers of a gigantic fortress in hell, the next you're figuring out dungeons of LttP-standard. The voice acting is surprisingly good, although Nettie is a bit over-the-top sometimes. The scale of some levels is amazing, with some areas being the biggest in video games. I think the Asylum altogether clocks in at over ten square miles (no joke). It is extremely original, and is sooooooooo well thought out. It's simply perfect.
UNLESS.... you've played the PC version on a keyboard and/or mouse, or the glitchy PlayStation version. Man, that SUCKS. Little old PSX simply does not have the hardware to realise such a complicated engine. Oh well, hang in there little buddy...
I rest my case. And IMO, the n64 and DC versions are probably best.

Listen Knobjockey, Mario Golf on n64 is the best golf game ever, the original Shadowman is THE BEST GAME EVER MADE (apart from maybe DKC2), and Reborn is Zelda 9.
I HATE YOU. DIE.

Lol Kintipio, HOW DARE you not put Shadowman: 2econd coming on your ps2 game list.
AND HOW DARE YOU not put Mario Party 4, tennis, golf, and kart on your upcoming GCN games, yet you put the ever-so-terrible Reborn on their.
Reborn will SUCK. Okay, the cel-shading looks amazing, but the gameplay looks awful.
