I just got back from my trip to Carolina Beach yesterday. It was pretty fun, though I learned the hard way that if you go to far out into the ocean (in my case, up to my bellybutton), the waves will beat the crap out of you.

As for souvenirs, I picked up a purple necklace and a ty-dye hoodie.

Good point. Animal Crossing seems to drain a portable's batteries particularly fast. My DS displays the low-battery warning light after only four hours of Wild World.

Wild World has pretty much killed my DS's battery life. I'm not even sure if it gets three hours anymore...

Whoa, I just now realized how appropriate this reward actually is. Doc Louis pimps Club Nintendo in the game. Why? So you could eventually fight him!

He also pimped the ancient Nintendo Fun Club. :)

I saw that screenshot in Nintendo Power and almost immediately made the connection. I LOLed.

It took me what may have been several hours to beat Queen Shroob in PiT, partially because I think I was semi-consciously trying to make it more difficult by using a minimal amount of Bros. Attacks.

I had lent my M&L:PiT to my boyfriend. After playing through it once, he did a low-level run and beat the game at level 12. I was told that the final battle took three hours.

Whoa. For a moment there, I thought you were talking about me, seeing as I go by the name N64 Chick, but my real name is Amy.

Anyway, it seems like every day is a new adventure ever since I moved here. Things were so monotonous back in Michigan. There are good days and some bad ones. But overall, I've been adjusting to North Carolina pretty well. Better than my mother expected me to anyway. :)
