However, the next GameCube game, StarFox Assault, will be a lot better and will give the disappointed hard-core StarFox fans something that was lacked in the first GameCube game. Although the Arwing missions in this game will be a lot more than last time, but this game will once more have on-foot missions, however in the way StarFox is meant to be - an action/shoot-em-up genre!!

By the way, Birdo was ALWAYS a female, well, at least in Japan she was!! Birdo's Japanese name is Katherine, and Katherine was a female ever since her first appearance in Doki Doki Panic or Super Mario USA for the Japanese!!
Uptil now, nobody knows why the heck had Nintendo of America, Inc. changed Birdo's gender in the first place!!

Think about it this way: If there's a World full of mythical creatures that are intelligent to human standards, how can there be room for the humans themselves to grow and thrive in populance?
I don't say humans are rare, but they are not enough of them to be so widely populated in that World. I mean, when we think of families (any sort of family) in the Mushroom World, how many have you seen with more than two or three kids?
Another thing: You have forgot that Gadd and most of the major ghosts in Luigi's Mansion are also humans; well, the ghosts were at least humans once...
Note: I plan to make a more practical thread than this sometime in the future...

It has some more details on the Super Mario part of this game...
Matt responds: A few. There have been a couple of rumors going around that as far as I've heard are false. The biggest and dumbest is that NBA Street Vol. 3 for GameCube features an additional disc with a completely original Mario All-Stars Basketball game on it. That's simply not true. Rather, the Nintendo All-Stars characters and one original court are included in the GCN build of NBA Street. You can play as Mario, Luigi and Peach (no others) and there's a Mushroom Kingdom-style basketball court with appropriate sound effects. For instance, when your Gamebreaker Meter fills up, you hear the Super Mushroom sound effect. The second rumor I've heard is that the Nintendo characters cannot interact with any real pros, and this is also false. You actually square off against real NBA athletes using Nintendo's three mascots and the experience is wholly surreal because Mario, Luigi and Peach stand about half as tall as some of these basketball giants.

None of us really know from where Bowser came from, although we do have reason to believe that Koopas existed in the Mushroom Kingdom for a very long time, even before Bowser's regime...
But we do probably know the official reason why he wants to take over...
Bowser doesn't really wanna take over the kingdom directly; it seems that he simply fell in love with Princess Peach Toadstool, and he wishes to marry her...
Then he can take over...
