Hahaha, my sights aren't set that high... I mean, they darn well should be but as long as there isn't a big screw-up (such as removing Bowser) I won't be able to put this down for weeks. Oh, and it's a good thing for me that SSBB won't be available until 2007... that gives me time to play my GameCube games and Twilight Princess.

Yeah i was reading the Latest gamepro and i went and read the Super Smash Bros Brawl Preview and it said the stuff we already know like the characters,and other stuffs but what really interested me is that they have the results of the character submissions and they said that Sonic is the most wanted charcter in both Japan and USA.Then it said how Nintendo's Miyamoto and the Creator of Brawl Sakurai are working with "companies" right now the see if they can get the rights to put 3rd party characters in the Game.Im not saying that sonic is gonna be in it but his chances have Greatly increased due to his popularity.

Well, that's certainly cool. Sonic would be a great character to put in, and I've been hoping that if they put in any more 3rd party characters, he would be included.

Yeah lets just HOPE Shiegeru Miyamoto and Sakurai actually LISTEN to the fans.Sometimes no matter how hard the fans pleade they just ignore what the fans want and just go with their own plans.Then they put a submission site where you can submit your most wanted character.The point of site is so nintendo can LISTEN to the fans.Lets just hope nintendo doesnt screw up a good oppurtunity.Dont get me wrong im a HUGE FAN of nintendo. ^_^'
Also if any other characters should get in Bomberman should get in.I think there a game in japan only had a SSB style fighting system and Snake and Bomberman where in it.If you want proof look up Solid Snake at Wikipedia.

I already posted a link to the Japanese wabsite for that game. I just can't remember where though. It's called Dream Mix TV World Fighters and has characters from Hudson, Konami and the toy company Takara, which means Optimus Prime was a playable character. :D

Wow optimus Prime?Man thats hilarious.I can see how bomberman would be used but i would rather have the good old smash bros franchise.What im wondering is if Snake is in the smash bros family just for this game or will he be in future games.

.. ok, seriously, I would absouletely love it if Toad were in SSBB. After the Mario Bros (who tie for first), Toad is my next favorite character in the Mario series. It would make sense for them to add Toad next, as he is the one of the only characters from the 'main' games that they haven't added yet.

After Toad, we start getting into characters that were only playable in spinoffs (like Waluigi) or have only seen one main game appearance (Daisy).

When I say one main game, I mean one that advances the story of the Mario Bros (like how they used to be searching for a way to get back home to Brooklyn..)

Yeah but lets not hope there will be too many spin off characters in the game.I dont need to see characters that played almost no importance in games.Daisy is a good idea but she must have her own move set.If they give her the same set as peach she will be a dissapointment.It would be cool if they include about 1-2 spinoff characters per game.

It would be even cooler if they put no spinoff characters in each game. Come on SSB is about Nintendo's finest! The filler characters from the Mario spinoffs are definitlely not Nintendo's finest.

Yeah but then the character roster would be dropped to like 20.Its a good idea that they are puting in more rivals in the game like Meta knight.There are going to be atleast 40 characters in the game and it is unavoidable that a few of them are going to be filler characters from a few games.

It's not unavoidable. There's plenty of characters besides MArio spinoff ones. Take the original Melee roster, that;s 26 right off the bat. Add the five confirmed ones. That's 31. All you need is 8 more and you have 40, unless you take out a few from the Melee roster, which probably won't be that much since the clones are being re-designed in to new characters. I can name 8 characters that deserve those spots easily. Wolf, Ridley, Samurai Goroh, Balloon Fighter, Mach Rider, Flint, Starfy and Lip. None of those are Mario filler characters.

Lip is from Panel de Pon. We need more girls and I love the Panepon games.

Lip? Get serious. Donald Trump would be a better candidate. Yeah, we need more girls, but try Twinrova or whoever the Twilight Princess is supposed to be. Nabooru could be a good character too, if they did what they did to Sheik--make a cool NPC into a strong fighter with moves they would more than likely have. 'Cause if you think about it, all all we ever saw Sheik do was suddenly appear and play the harp...
