I liked the part when Bowser Jr. was revealed. From then, Bowser Jr. became one of my favorite characters. I also like the fact Bowser had a audible (human) voice instead of roars and text boxes.

My favorite part of SMS would probably have to be the music.

I probably am pretty dumb for replying to a post that's quite a few months behind, but....whatev, I guess.

My favorite parts about Super Mario Sunshine were the secret areas with the remix of the original Mario theme...snapping fingers and everything. I especially loved the area where you have to relay on the Pinatas to give you the old heave ho from platform to platform. ...How did they get there in the first place, I wonder? Ah well.

My second favorite part? Spraying/jumping on Toadsworth and hear him going "Yaada-bla-bla-bla-bla!!" Cracks me up everytime.

I also liked seeing Mario sport a Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses. Though the Hawaiian shirt did look pretty odd on him...

My favorite parts of the game were the music...and sequence-breaking.

EDIT: Forgot about the pachinko stage.

The very best aspect of SMS is the sound the sunflowers make when you talk to them. "Yaa humminay!"

^_^

I also absolutely loved the watermelon rolling. ;)

I thought the Watermelon Festival was clever, but I did not really like rolling multiple watermelons down with all of the obstacles around. It was very frustrating before I knew where the largest one was.

That episode was extremely useful for getting extra lives, considering that the watermelons yield something like 7 coins when destroyed, and regenerate a certain amount of times.

The coolest yet scariest part was the death river. Its a secret level

Death River? Are you talking about the lava?

the secret level with the toxic water came to my mind.  I always had trouble steering that, and all the other, leaf.

That episode alone is the cause of my extreme hatred for the Cataquacks.

I like the boss fights against Gooper Blooper and the Giant Wiggler. I especially liked the Wiggler fight and Gelato Beach in particular, although the Cataquacks were annoying at times (as in the aforementioned melon rolling shine).
