I sent him one too not very long ago!  This was my first and I doubt that he'll answer it.  All I said was "if you could have someone ask any question to you that you wanted, what would that question be?" and then I said he could ask and answer that very question.  Probably not original but I would like to get an email just like that imo.  Plus I put in several dumb misspellings like saying "Deer Stong Bad" and ended my letter saying "P.S. Al spilleng erurs wur intensional".  Oh yeah, and I also closed with "Sincerely, Jacob, the Pretzel Kingdom" (bad joke on the Waffle Kingdom).  If he doesn't answer my letter, I'll give him loads of hate mail until he answers something.  It may not get me anywhere but at least I'll feel a little better.

Yeah, I had a feeling that would be okay.  Just teasing IS by following the rules too close.  Oh, I have another question by the way!  Do we get 2nd and 3rd places for things or just 1st?

PaperMario: I don't think that I deserve to even be a runner-up in "smartest poster" but if that's what you think I won't stop ya! XD

I’m going to vote now, but not for every category.  I wanted to do that, but I don’t think I will because I feel like there are people out there that deserve the right votes and I haven’t exactly paid good attention to these things during the year so I couldn’t give them what they deserve.  People who are more popular or have capitalized names are the first that come to my mind, so that should help you see why I am a bad voter.  This is my first time to do this so next year (this year) I will try to pay better attention to these things and make the right decisions.  Thanks to the people who voted for me!

Poster of the Year- Watoad!
I think Sapphira is absolutely right.  Never before have I met such a smart, kind, and funny person. (And he’s an evil version of Toad for goodness sake!)  He takes time to answer all of your questions and comments to him, sees things from other points of views, knows where to find good information, almost never gets angry, and tells hilarious jokes but usually keeps them clean too.  I want to be more like this person when I say things here.  But just in my own way you know.

Topic of the Year- GiftedGirl’s The Pointless Topic!
My first thought was Sapphira’s Ultimate Birthday Compilation because that was a fun idea I had too and wanted to happen so we could know about each other’s birthdays.  But “Pointless” has really allowed me to flex my creativity and come up with these crazy new ideas.  Sometimes I feel like GiftedGirl and I have a few of the same bizarre thoughts and opinions about things floating in our heads even though I might hate to admit it (hope I didn’t freak you out here, GG).  The preview for Revenge of the Dukar could be the most hilarious or extremely weird thing that I ever made and loved dreaming up.  However, that’s not the main reason.  It’s at this topic that I got my idea for the Mario characters in my signature and will probably love and keep forever.  And sometimes I laugh at the other strange things people say.
Third runner-up: (insert adjective here) story.  Lots of good, funny history in there.  I wish it would come back again but I might just bore it back down to the grave.

Post of the Year- Watoad again! Watoad’s Vision
Even today I am so shocked and amazed at what he said in this topic.  Without sounding nervous or afraid of how people will accept his story, he talks about a very very personal and emotional experience in his life where he sees an incredible vision through another friend’s help.  If you can read the whole thing without feeling something deep in yourself then I have to wonder if you are really human or just not alive.  Although I have wondered at times if this was real or not, I also remember that it wouldn’t make sense to lie about something that could make you look like a fool.

Most Productive Poster- “Did not vote”

Smartest Poster- Luigison!
First guy that comes to mind because he is a teacher (what kind of teacher again?) and just seems to know a lot and have smart opinions.  Black Mage gets second.

Most Amiable Poster- Sapphira!
I believe she’s just as nice as Watoad is.  Her personality reminds me of a wonderful girl/friend from my old school who treats everyone like a friend.  And how can you not smile with all of the quirky emoticons she uses? XD

Best Signature- Watoad’s “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose”.
Once again Sapphira has helped me change my mind.  Lizard Dude’s “I’m a stupid fatty…” was my first vote because when I first came here that was one of the first sigs I remember reading and it gave me a good laugh.  But when I first saw the sig Watoad made I immediately liked it a lot.  I heard the quote from a book and forgot all about it until he said it again.  For me it reminds me that life is only temporary and should never be wasted.  I can’t believe I voted for Watoad three times!  But I guess I can in a way.

Funniest Poster- I would have to say Lizard Dude with all his funny pictures, funny songs like Deezer the Snowman, stupid fatty signature, and parody threads like “The Mushroom Teleporter”.  And also… he made the kids cry when they thought he died. Who knows what’s going to happen next April? (Lizard Dude really does die and no one believes it)

Most Creative Poster- “Did not vote”

Deezer Award- Deezer.  He deserves it 100%.

Best Newbie: Khold, I agree.  I forgot that she was new here because she acts so... what's the right word... she just seems to fit in well.

Favorite story teller: The Blue Toad.  He wrote a story called "The Mushroom Kingdom's Annual Ball" or something like that, and the entire story made me laugh forever.  Good work!  Right now I'm reading PaperLuigi's "When Yoshis dream..." and like that too.  Sapphira, I love your Prophecy story like crazy, but I feel like I can't give you my vote until you write the rest.  Sorry.

And there you have it. *pulls the lever and walks away* Hey, Koopaslaya, what will the awards look like?  Are they just words that say “Winner of the such-and-such award is so-and-so!” or do we get a picture of a trophy with our names on them?  Like a Mario Kart trophy picture edited with words over it.

General Chat / Re: The best year of my life (how about you?)
« on: January 01, 2006, 08:29:28 PM »
I agree with that too.  In 2004 my friends bought me my platinum GameCube and you can imagine how much I loved that.  And I could go through some highlights from other years but I think one year is enough.

Now how about those impossible wishes?  I would like to have giant wings so I could fly over the whole world.  Or maybe huge fins and gills so I could swim through the whole ocean.  No wait... wings, fins, gills, plant skin to breath with photosynthesis, fast running, high jumping, and pheremones to make me more attractive to women!  That should cover it.

And NYR, I plan to annoy my brother just as much as last year, waste just as much time on the internet, and become even weirder than I am now.

Yoshi55: Hershey Park?  Sweet.  Is that the amusement park?  What's it like? (probably not made of all chocolate like I imagine)

General Chat / The best year of my life (when was yours?)
« on: January 01, 2006, 03:02:31 PM »
Dude! I don’t know about you but for me this has been a really terrific year.  I can’t believe how good it’s been.  So many fun experiences.  I’ll be more than happy to tell you about them soon (not now because you might get scared out of your whole mind) but first I’ll just ask you the questions. (I) When was the best time(s) of your life?  Not just in 2005 (II) What’s the best thing that’s ever happened to you or you’ve ever done? And (III) what’s the greatest/coolest thing you’ve always wanted to do, possible or impossible? And just for fun… what New Year’s Eve resolutions do you plan to break right away?  Only answer the questions you want to.

Before I begin, I have to mention a little thing. Remember in Watoad’s “Amazing Unexperiences” thread when I mentioned something about having an idea kind of like his?  This is that topic.  Woo-hoo.

Now for my own huge account.  You may remember a lot of these things I said.  2005: Y.R.’s Year of Awesome

Favorite memories of the year (in order even, I think):
(1) Got my driver’s license today… hooray!  And I only failed once before that! (because of a stupid bad last-minute yellow light decision)
(2) Fifth draws a great picture of my character, Yoshisaurus Rex, that I’m now using for my avatar.  Thanks again, man.
(3) For a birthday present, Grandma got me the Mega Man Anniversary Collection and this was the first time I ever played a Mega Man game.  Na-na-na-na-nuh, nuh-na-na-na-nuh (na-nuh-na)!
(4) One of my best birthday parties, with just me and my Dad.  He drove me around and we did fun stuff that I wanted to do like go to Best Buy, a large book store (where I got a FoxTrot comic), and Game Stop (where I played Donkey Kong Jungle Beat finally).  We also ate at IHOP for the first time and that was so delicious!  Slobberin’ good!
(5) At an amusement park I won a Sonic doll and got a caricature of myself for the first time.  I also threw up for the first time after going on a ride (o 8(X O)
(6) I finally got a cell phone, a debit card, and opened a checking account (maybe I should have done that sooner).  I also lost my allowance though because the phone plan costs $15 a month and usually I get $10 a month.
(7) Got my first very own personal computer, an E-machine!!  So long, Windows 98. XP  This computer also lets me listen to WTMK from Media Player unlike the last one and that’s pretty sweet.
[8] Star Wars III, baby!
(9) Best job ever!  I worked at a camp in another town and earned money for college, stayed in a cabin, read some good books, watched some good DVDs, rode a horse, swam in a big pool, spent an entire day with my roommate on the road, played Donkey Konga and Smash Bros with my other roommate, acted in great drama for the first time in a long time, grew out my side burns a little for the first time #^_^#, and made a lot of great new friends and memories with them.  This alone was the best part of the whole year.
(10) Got that green 1-up T-shirt I wanted so bad.  Also got my first Sonic shirt; a cool black Sonic X T-shirt for $10.
(11) My family went to our state fair for the first time!
(12) Went to my first water park with my brother and grandma.  Better than awesome!
(13) Fun college classes this year: Had “Exploring Music” (history of music and composers) and two online computer classes, which are all things I love.  On the other hand, Biology almost sucked the life out of me.  But I did learn quite a lot from that and it was funny how many times I thought about episodes of The Magic School Bus when I studied certain subjects.
(14) Sonic X season 3 begins!  Maybe I didn’t need to mention this.
(15) Learn about the Revolution and the controller and experience first horror and then huge excitement (and we are still waiting for that!)
(16) Some time in October I have my 1-year anniversary at the Fungi Forums.  And then in November… we get a new message board that makes many of our dreams come true.  Do the Mario! (E I)Xo{D
(17) A friend’s relative who used to play for the Panthers moved over to the Bears.  According to the friend, this guy said he was training as hard as he could so that he beat his old team when they played each other (just to show them how much he had improved).  On Sunday, Nov. 20, the Bears played the Panthers and the Bears won!  I felt so happy and fortunate that I could see that (because I hardly ever watch foot ball) and felt happy for the guy too.  But I do feel sorry for you Panthers fans.
(18) For Christmas I got Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix, my first DDR game (and first Mario game for GC)!  At first I didn’t think I would like it but then I tried playing on Hard and found out how fun it can get.  And the music… almost every song is great.  As soon as I learn how to play without hurting my left foot I bet I’ll like this game even more.  Se-quel!  Se-quel!
(19) The day after I finish reading the first Chronicles of Narnia book, Grandma takes my brother and I to see the movie!  That was so good.  Not at all safe, but very good.

Even though I said that this year was really good, it actually wasn’t my best year.  Did I fool you there?  Ha ha.  The best year of my life was a long time ago, and it involves religion so I don’t know if it would be polite/proper to say it or not.  But I hope this can turn out to be more than just a guy blabbing about his life and that others can find things to talk about too.  I’m just too excited and thankful to keep this stuff to myself you know!  (=(:  )|)

Now I want to hear what you have to say!  And hope that this isn’t my worst idea ever.

Hey, GiftedGirl, I think that since you like rodents so much you should change your name to GerbilGirl.  But it does have a nice ring to it.  Oh great, my rimshot boy just left the stage.

Ren and Stimpy can be hilarious sometimes and very gross othertimes, but most of the time it feels like a strange cartoon made by psychopaths.  And that scares me sometimes.  But I have so many funny memories from the show, especially when I would stay at a friend's house and rent the classics and watch them at night.  I memorized all the words to "Our Country Reeks of Trees" and "Happy Happy, Joy Joy".  I often laugh when I think about when they ate dirt.  And phrases such as "You want my ice cream bar!  I've had this ice cream bar since I was a child!  You can't take it away from me!!" (it's really a bar of soap) and "You eeeeeediot!  Stiiiiimpyyyyyy!  I will kiiiiiiiiiill yoooooooou!!!" XD

General Chat / Re: New Year's Resolutions
« on: January 01, 2006, 02:05:22 PM »
Lose a little weight that I'm going to gain during Christmas with DDR:MM.

(I also think YSR had a resolution like that too.)

Oh yeah, I forgot I said that.  At first I thought "what are you talking about?  I never said that!"  I should put get a better memory on the list.  Unless I forget to.

- Get more hobbies like force myself to watch sports on TV and keep up with teams.  Video games are just so much about me that it scares me sometimes and none of my friends (excluding you guys) enjoy Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, etc. as much as I do.  Going outside more couldn't hurt either.
- Lose weight in some areas.  I'm not fat overall (used to be) but my legs kind of are so... yuck... need to find a method to fix that.
- Learn how to become a more friendly person instead of a selfish whiner.  In the real world I have trouble focusing on others and just stare at my own problems and life more than I should.
- Never make any more NYR ever again!  That's one thing I know I can't keep.

I don't call these things resolutions, more like life improvement plans.  I just store them away in my head and have a general goal to improve on these things.  If I put them on a list then I go bananas trying to check them off.  But without even knowing it I really have done a good job with completing some things in my life.  Not just from hard work but also from talking to friends and praying as well.  So I hope that I can keep becoming more than I am now.  Be more... more. PBS.

Introducing... Super Mario Bros: Da Musical!

Luigi: Hey, what's-a down this pipe here?  Should-a we go down it?  Hey, I just-a got the first line in this chapter!  Ho ho!  You just got-a served! Lasagna! *does the Luigi dance*

Mario: I think-a I hear some water down there!  Let's-a go swimming with the little fishies!  Hoo hoo!  The little fishies!

Luigi: (singing) But what-a if there are bloopers down there?  Besides getting shocked-a it would mess up my brown hair!  You should-a think this through.  What would Papa do?  He'd say 'If you jumped down that pipe you might downright be through!'

Mario: (singing) Luigi, my brother, you just might be right.  But I'm tired of walking and want to feel light.  Light in the water... swimming so free... I must-a go down there!  So come swimming... with meeeeeeeeeee!! *grabs him by the overalls and dives down the pipe*

Luigi: (singing) Oh noooooooooooo!! SPLASH!

The bros fell into the water and continued to sing their song underwater. (Music is from the SMB underwater song)

Mario: Blub blub blub blub blub blub BLUB BLUB, blub BLUB!
Luigi: Blub BLUB... blub... BLUB
Mario: Blub blub blub BLUB... blub... BLUB blub

Cheap cheap: Blub BLUB... blub... BLUB.  Blub blub blub BLUB... blub... BLUB BLUB!
Blooper: Gurgle gurgle... gurgle gurlge... gurgle gurgle... GURGLE
CC and Blooper: Blub gurgle... gurgle blub BLUB BLUB gurgle blub!
Everyone: Blub gurgle... gurgle blub BLUB BLUB blub BLUB!!
(song continues like this until the fish and mario bros have "sang" the song three times.  I think you get the point by now.)

I actually wanted to make an entire story like this but I lost interest and ran out of ideas.  This was the only thing that made it.  Anyone can make the rest of the story if they want to because I think it would turn out pretty funny as long as there are actual words to some songs.
