After I had beaten the Ice Temple, I went to the  Temple of the Ocean King. I went all the way down to the dead end. I reach to the elevator room, but the elevator is not working.

I look on a strategy guide, and it says wait for a while. I've been leaving the game open for more than 30 minutes.

So is this a glitch or am I unpatient?

I don't recall any elevators at all in that game. What strategy guide is this?

Well, they're lying. Why don't you SPECIFY the level at which you are stuck, and see if any of us can help?

I think he's referring to that one room where you put the gems in (in a certain order), and there's a rumble, and when you leave the room, it's different.

And I don't think PH has an "official" guide; NoA stopped making them (probably because Nintendo Power is now by Future US), but there is an "offical" Prima guide for it--and every other major Nintendo game lately--as I think they took over the job now.

Did you even go back in the room after placing them?
Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.

Yeah, I was gonna say he should do that, but I figured it spoke for itself... or did it?

Try walking around to certain parts of the room then, there are many invisible triggers that you may not know about.

I already beat PH, but it's been a real long time. That game was short to me.
