Hey, I've been hooked on MKDS, and I noticd that when you beat some time trials, you'll get staff ghost data to race against. Is this normal?

Yes. Those are the staff ghosts. They're rather hard to beat.

Well, at least I know know. I tried to beat the first one I came across: Dry Bones, the tank car, and the weird Nintendo name, but I horribly lost. It was on Banshee Boardwalk. Then, there's one in Wario Stadium (Wario), and one in Tick-Tock Clock (Daisy). Is there one for every class and level?

I think so. I've only beaten one of them, but I haven't really tried to beat them.

Staff ghosts are available for each track in Time Trials, assuming you unlock them all. There aren't any CC classes in time trials, so there's only one per track. If you beat them all... you can join the "I Pummeled the Staff Ghosts!" club.
