'Addicting' is a word, but it's often used in the wrong context where 'addictive' should be used, hence the fury regarding this subject.

Heh heh... a whole page devoted to the debate. (NOTE: vulgar language towards the bottom of the article, so cover your eyes kiddies.) So, according to this page (which looks to be correct) you could say something like "Mario Galaxy is addicting anyone who plays it".
