I thought I got Rick Rolled in real life today.  I walked into a curb store and Never Gonna Give Up was playing.

So, what being rickrolled these days simply entails hearing the song? Back in my day you had to be tricked into seeing it in place of the GTA 4 trailer.

Yeah, Luigison, your case wouldn't qualify as a Rickroll unless the shop's owner had been singing the song while sporting a trenchcoat, a throwback ginger hairstyle and possibly sunglasses.

I didn't say it was a Rick Roll.  I should have been more clear.  I had thought at first that it was some sort of Rick Roll possibly played on someone working there, but no one in the store even knew what a Rick Roll was or who Rick Astley was.   It was pointless.

Playing Never Gonna Give You Up entirely staright with no irony or rickroll reference attached is a truly disturbing activity to engage in.

You know, Rick Astley did other songs too.

Considering it's no longer a surprise to be rickrolled, and that I like the song in the first place (I first heard it on Family Guy and had to find out what song it was), there needs to be a new roll. Some have suggested a Katamari roll. I'm waiting for a Homestar Runner roll of some type because they like putting 'd at the end of things.
You didn't say wot wot.

I'm not stupid; just strange and impulsive.
How did that not become a CT?

Holy crap.

Anyway, I field-tested an alternate-song Rickroll here a few months back and it was roughly %90 percent effective.

What was the Youtube video? It was deleted by some fascist copyright-enforcing agent of Nintendo posing as a faceless TMK user.

It was, like, a DS emulator or something. The menu, at least.
