This is the first game I've ever used Right on the D-pad to shoot. It just felt the most comfortable that way and my thumb naturally went there.

What do you use?

Meh, I'm very normal, I just use the L button.

You mean the controls in SFC can be changed? Cool. Hopefully I'll get it soon.
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

No, but every button is shoot, because the screen does everything else.

Every single possible button besides Start and Select do the same thing. It reminds me of Sonic.

I use the L button too. It's the most comfortable way for me.

Lizard Dude, you're gonna have to put an option for "I've never played Star Fox Command."  You know people can't control their votin' fingers!

Except that if you view the results, you notice that only three people have voted. Those three votes correspond with the replies to this topic. 1800TH POST WOO

Is that so?  I'm afraid your internet must be malfunctioning--as I see four votes.

That's not enough?

I also see a fourth vote for X? Was that a person (DeadAwake) who hasn't played SFC or is it a lefty?

Note that about an hour and a half passed between our votes. That's easily enough time for another person to have voted.

That's quite moot considering the point of contention.  In any case, perhaps we will never know the identity of the real voter.  Mwahahaha!

The X Button voter is now gone. I still suspect MaxVance. :)

I don't even have SFC (yet). Perhaps somebody else here has it and just hasn't come forward with his or her ownership of it.

I use just about every button on the left side (not counting the Power button). I mainly use the directional pad, but will periodically use the L button.

EDIT: I've grown used to using the L button now, after beating the third mission and finally beating Star Wolf.

Up is the button I most frequently use.
That was a joke.

I realize this isn't really on topic, but since this is a Star Fox Command thread and I don't really feel this question deserves its own topic, and since I can't access the chatroom currently: Does this game play anything like Star Fox Assault for the Gamecube (or, for that matter, Star Fox 64)? I had my doubts when I heard about Command because, well, after loving Star Fox 64 so much and wishing for a new one, I'm scared Command will be a cheap spinoff and not really anything like the Star Fox I'm used to. I played a demo of Assault at a store recently and I liked it a lot, so how's Command shaping up?

Well, you're always flying, so it's generally not like the majority of Adventure and Assault.

You never fly continuously down a path, either, though, so it's not like the majority of the original or 64.

You're always in all-range mode and you chose where to fly on a map with your characters and strategically defend the Great Fox and take over enemy bases. It's fun and I like it better than either GCN Star Fox. You can get 9 endings and play online (I've found the best time to get full games is 5:00AM, because it recently came out in Australia).

Hm. All Range Mode was fun, but in bits. I really liked the fly-down-a-path aspect, and I looked at a gameplay video on www.gamespot.com. Command doesn't appear to be the type of game I'm looking for... but heck, maybe I'll get it anyway and still like it. Thanks LD

If you ever played Terminal Velocity, it looks and feels a lot like that.

Mmm.... Nope. I played Assault again today, and decided I really only like the flying parts. Phooey.
