Most of them aren't around that much and don't monitor anything. Chupperson, Suffix, Bird Person and occasionally Deezer...those are the only mods I see consecutively.
Regular members have the run of the mill for the most part. To be honest, I was initially opposed to the FOR REAL ordeal in the Forum Games because I thought the mods would not approve (but Bird Person was the only mod around to put a halt to it). Not to say I didn't enjoy the freedom to just be silly, however. The quality of my posts were just not great (terrible, in fact). If I really wanted to be just silly, I probably should've done it outside the board.
Things are okay as they are, I think. Just okay. The freedom is great and all, but there should be a line. I don't want to sound controlling, but sometimes things get out of hand in favor of general silliness over intellectual/interesting discussion.
Do we need new mods? Maybe, maybe not. One solution could be to replace mods who are barely here with members who are here on a regular basis. This is just a suggestion. If you don't like it, don't take it seriously. It's not my place to make decisions.
CrossEyed7 would be a great mod. His posts are a mix of general, good hearted silliness and excellent, intellectually stimulating material.
