Mario Chat / Play the Super Mario Same Game online

I made a Super Mario version of the Same Game.  Or rather, I modified a free javascript code, added Mario images, and added SMB font.

If you have never played before, all you have to do is move your mouse pointer to match adjacent squares of the same characters. Click to clear that group. The more you clear at once, the higher your score.  You can also try to remove all of the characters or leave one of each.  Refresh the screen to try again.  If you have a 56k or slower connection it will take about 40 seconds for the images to load.

I am working on new downloadable version in DarkBasic that has larger, more, and easier to tell apart charaters, items, and enemies from Mario games, as well as time limits, easy/hard modes, enemies that drop more stuff, etc.  Let me know what you think of this version or what you think the new versoin should be like. Also, post your high score if you want.

Let me know if the title and score fonts don't look like SMB title fonts (I may have to change the code, convert it to an image, or email you the font) or if you have any problems with the game or webpage.

I posted this previously in general chat, but the links weren't working (yahoo/geocities said my data transfer was to high).  That is fixed now, and since these are mario related I thought I should have posted them in this "General Mario chat" in the first place.

Also, you can get the book at the bottom of the red coin bottle by getting all 51 gold coins then getting the shine sprite. After getting the shine you appear back in Noki Bay talking to the old man. He says something like, "I forgot that was in there.  I will sell it to you for 100 gold coins." After talking to him get at least 49 coins so that your total is 100. Do not get the shine sprite for 100 coins, instead talk to the old man again and he will take 100 coins and give you the book. He then says something like, "I hope this helps." Then you are sent back to the pipe that enters Noki Bay from Delfino Island like normal. Push the Z button and now the book appears at the bottom center of the screen with the word Click! below it. Click on it and it shows the names of all the worlds like clicking on the shine does, except there are 30 dots for each world and blue coins for the ones you have already collected, and at the bottom it shows the total number of blue coins you've collected. Actually, that page just opens one of my old indexs.  Anyway, most of the links are dead now and my original sweepstakeslist.com url is also dead.  I stopped keeping the site up because internet advertizing money dried up.  Although, if you notice the date at the top of the main page it always shows the current date because of a javascript I wrote.  I was planning on making a Mario website when I found TMK.  I have also worked on programing a Mario game, but SMS and TMK now take most of my free time.

Mario Chat / Super Mario Sunshine's Invisible Shines

This isn't really a bug as I previously thougtht, but it does show lack of standardization in the programming of Super Mario Sunshine.  Checkout the screenshots on my site below to see what I mean.

My current TV doesn't have video out so the screenshots are actually pictures of the screen.  Also, I forgot to set my camera resolution.  The images are really 640 x 480, but I forced them into a smaller space.  Sorry for those of you low bandwidth, but I don't plan on edit them.

I am not asking about the people or topics, but about how the forum works.  Would you like it if Deezer used the forumplanet format here even if it would mean losing all our old posts and possibly needing to make new UserNames?  (Assuming he can do it?)

Maybe he could keep this one going for awhile so we can get used to the new one (or deside if we like it better).  Maybe he could even keep this old forum as an archive.

I was wondering what people here thought were the best GCN games.  I think SMS is the best and MP4 is the worst, but that's not really fair since I only have those two.  I have preordered Zelda and am sure that will be my fav when I get it.

Also, CW you really don't need to respond, eveyone know you think StarFox is the best game ever.

Maybe Deezer can get TMK on the list.  Only problem is he uses emulators and roms to make screen shots and icons and Nintendo are strongly againt use of their roms.

Mario Chat / Super Mario Sunshine Bugs & Glitches

I just got SMS this weekend and have already found several bugs in it.

If you get a Sprite out of order, it will appear on the the map shine click screen with ??? over the column.  Although, on the game select (A, B, or C blocks) score screen it will not appear but will be included in the total.  I have got 40 Shines, there are only 39 showing on the score screen, but the total at the bottom is 40.

Also, you can get all the coins in Delfino Plaza twice.  After you get the Shine just get the coins again.  I currently have 212 yellow coins there, and that is without getting the birds and missing a few others.

There are several places you can jump through stuff like the boats at the park, etc.
