According to NOE, it´s just one of Miyamoto´s strange things... (The book will probably start a "Triforce in OOT" like rumor)

Maybe if you get the book(if you could) it should open up with more levels in it... it might have levels in it that were cut out of sms... maybe...

Idea:
Download a Super Mario Sunshine ISO (or is it called ICO? I dunno) + an emulator + a hexeditor. Open the game in the hex editor and find out what every number means in the programming! (And find out what will happen OR move the book to another location)

You can't get SMS off the web, can you?!
I thought the GCN discs were proprietary!
That was a joke.

"You can't get SMS off the web, can you?!

1. No, not yet!
2. They are.

Nintendo cart. games were proprietary too, but that didn't stop people from copying the roms and writing emulators.  The dish tv cards are proprietary and that doesn't stop my brother-in-law from watching free porn.

It's only a matter of time before someone cracks the GCN discs and writes a "proprietary" emulator.

It would also require extensive hardware modification. Regular CD or DVD reading devices wouldn't be able to read them.

Sure, cartridges were proprietary, but all you have to do with them is use the contacts from your system of choice and wire it into a data transfer device. I guess you could take the laser device from a GCN and do the same thing... but you would also have to write your own interpreter on your computer. Cartridges are a lot simpler.

Got another "bug" of sorts, though it's really more of a way around.
It's possible to climb the shine gate with only FLUDD's hover nozzle.  You can jump into the manhole by the fruit freighter's dock, then leap out and hover to get to the middle platform, where a well-timed triple jump and some more hovering can get mario just close enough to grab onto the top.
It's possible to get to the last area (Pianta Village, excluding Corona Mountain) before even opening up the first!

You can also get there with only Yoshi, but of course that takes Shines...
That was a joke.

In Gelato Beach, go to the pier leading to the smoothie shop. Walk under it until you can swim then swim directly under it then the pier will disappere

Mom:Honey, what is that loud sound? Me:Uh, nothing, Mom! *goes back to smashing X-Box*

Okay, now, how do you get the 121st shine? Here is a "bug" I can recall: In the beginning when Peach is captured by Shadow Mario for the first time, he leaves an M near some fruits. If you pick up a fruit, drop it into the paint, the spot where the fruit came from will smoke as if the fruit was just there and has expired, and a new fruit will grow.
