Mario Chat / Re: I'm back!...and...err...something else!

Ah, RPG Maker 2000. . .I started to make a DBZ RPG where you get to play as the androids trying to defeat the Z-Warriors. The part that I created is very good (it looks almost professional), and very complex and entertaining (Mario and Sonic are making cameo performances as secret characters you can get at the end of the game, if I ever finish designing it). Unfortunately, I'm stuck on this part in the design, and I can't get the idiotic game to work, so I can continue with the design on my RPG. I got frustrated, and stopped work on the thing, but occasionally, I play the part that I did create, because its fun to play. I tried asking for advice on how to solve my dilemma, but to no avail. If anyone thinks they can help (you have to be really good with RPG Maker 2k), by all means, e-mail me at david_coolest_guy@yahoo.com, and I'll tell you the problem. My thanks in advance!

BTW - Personally, I prefer the Gamecube over the Game Boy Advance. If you've seen any of the  previews of the launch games for GC (preferable Super Smash Bros. Melee), you can see the amzing quality of graphics and technology the Gamecube has to offer. Game Boy Advance is great for a portable system, but has no comparison to Gamecube, imo.

Yeah, Yoshi Challenge is from SMA, not MKSC (unless its some secret mode in MKSC, which I doubt).

I saw the commercial for MKSC on television. Strange. . .I didn't know that Toad could fly that far. . .

Well, you could have informed me of that without insulting me. I might be new, but at least I'm mature. . .

Um. . .I hate to be the one who tells you this, but. . .check your site. . .

My advice is that you and this Blue Daemon guy stop hacking each others sites, and instead leave each other to post their sites in peace. I know from experience that hacking wars never lead to a happy ending. . .so both of you should stop your childish behavior and continue to produce quality sites to enhance the web rather than to fight and quibble. Good luck on your rebuilding your site, and lets try to live in peace.

Yeah, my B-day is the 29th, I guess I'm kind of lucky that MKSC is coming out around then. BTW - I got to play a little bit at Target as well (I only got to play for about 5 min.) . It's a great, fun game from what I've seen, and its definitely worth getting, imo.

My favorites are Luigi, Toad, and Wario from MK64, and Mario from SM64 (even if the same guy [Charles Martinet, I think] plays it in MK64 and several other games).

Hmmm, billy chilly, I can see you put a lot of thought into your explanations. Good job, but some things don't make sense.

1. SMB1 - If that's true, then why didn't Bowser have the axe in his hands so he could slice Mario? Even if Mario was agile enough to avoid that, he wouldn't be able to use the axe against Bowser. I still don't get why Bowser didn't just cut the bridge when Mario was on it, which would be the most logical method of battle, and if Bowser is only vulnerable to lava and fire in that game, why is he on a bridge over lava in the first place. Bowser might have been arrogant about Mario, but it still doesn't make sense, and iof Bowser had been a little more intelligent, he wouldn't have been defeated (or at least it would have been much more challenging).

2. SMW - That may be true, but after being hit several times by the Mechakoopas (it takes 6 hits to defeat him), Bowser should have realized that Mario could toss the Mechakoopas extremely high, and stopped throwing them. Bowser would then be invincible, and Mario wouldn't be able to defeat him. That was stupidity on Bowser's part, and that lead to his defeat.

3. SM64 - I agree, but after being tossed into the bombs twice before (Bowser in the Dark World and Lava World), he should have realized the plumber's amazing strength, and gotten rid of the bombs for their final battle in the Sky World. Bowser would have then been invulnerable, and Mario's defeat would been inavoidable. Besides, when you actually battle Bowser, why doesn't he try to throw Mario into the bombs if that's true? He never performs any sort of toss attacks in any of the battles against Bowser in SM64.

Perhaps, Bowser's defeats were partly on account of Bowser's arrogance, but you have to admit that had made some stupid mistakes in his battles, and the sad thing is that Bowser doesn't really learn from his past mistakes. If Bowser had been a little more intelligent, Bowser would have easily defeated Mario and his allies, but because of his errors, he was never sucessful.

I loved  Super Mario Advanced - I mean an advanced SMB2 coupled with the original Mario Bros is definitely a great combo (though I wish they made new Mario games instead of remaking old ones, but its still quite good). The game was quite easy, imo. I have 38/40 Yoshi Eggs (I'm only missing the last 2 from 7-2, and that's because I can't beat Wart in one life. . .) and all of the Ace Coins, and I got most of those without much challenge. As for the original Mario Bros., its also quite easy (I made it to lv. 35 once). Despite this, its still a good game, and it does have good replay value. The graphics and sound are great (I love the SMB2 Overworld Theme), and my only gripe is that the game isn't that challenging. If I had to rate it, I'd give it an overall 8.5/10, which is a good job.

Well. . .if that's really true about Wart's machine, then I guess its valid. Wart should have tried to stop the machine though. As for Bowser's excuse in SMB 3, he shouldn't have tried to crush Mario in the first place then. He's invulnerable, so he should have just tried to eliminate Mario with his fireballs. That would have eventually done the job, and there would be no way for Bowser to be defeated. He should have realized this when the floor first started caving in.  Bowser's excuse for SMB3 is invalid, imo. Thanks for your responses!
