Sadly, I only played video games from 1996 to 2006.  I still play video games, just... only ones from that decade.

That does sound like Billy West: specifically like his voice for Buzz the Honey Nut Cheerios mascot.

I always thought Krunch from Diddy Kong Racing sounded like my high school biology teacher, but he's not a voice actor for video games...

If you're referring to the coded messages at the end of every episode, I just solved the one at the end of this episode: "Sorry, Dipper, but your Wendy is in another castle."  Another Mario reference! :0

I wasn't sure where to post this.  On Disney channel there is a cartoon called Gravity Falls, and on one particular episode Dipper accidentally releases a character from an arcade game (similar to Street Fighter).  At one point the VGcharacter throws barrels at the kid Dipper was supposed to fight.  Here's the clip:

At the end of the episode, another character named Mabel appears in pixelated format, and she says "It's-a me, a-Mabel!"

I basically paraphrased from this cartoon:

There was another video about the handedness relation to the older brother effect, but I can't seem to find it.  It was a news report on 60 Minutes, I think...

Well, I think this movie looks good and I'm excited to see how they integrate 8-bit retro graphics and music into the more modern environments in the newer video games.  And I really like the song "Good Feeling," so the trailer was effective in getting me excited.

As for the plot itself...  It seems like Cars backwards.  Rather than a youthful, new hotshot entering an obsolete environment and learning to respect old people, this film shows an obsolete video game character from an arcade entering youthful, new environments to teach hotshots to respect old people.  Or something, I haven't seen much more than the first trailer.  "You don't have to be a bad guy if you don't want to," I guess.
