I liked how they had Prof. E.Gadd in the BeanBean coffee place.

Time slowed and Reality bent.
But on and on the Eggman went.

Yeah I thought the viruses were cool too. Especially the way you defeat them.

The Hammer Bros. thing was odd though.
There were the border Hammer Bros., then there was the hammer-making Hammer Bros.
The border ones were the obvious cameos though.

If you get all of the coffees made at the cafe, you get an item called "GameBoy Horror SP", or something close to that. Anyhow, the item's description is as follows: Defeat foes and always get rare items!
So far, the only "rare item" I got is a pair of pants I don't need. Sheesh...

Made you look.

I also like how Birdo was disguised as Peach and the Yoshis of course. The Kirby Poster Cameo was pretty cool too.

I, personally, enjoyed the Mario and Luigi advertisement at the Yoshi Theatre. They make a cameo in their own game!

...And my dear sweet mother, she just looked at me like a cow looks at an oncoming train. She leaned right down next to me, and she said,"IT''S GOOD FOR YOU!!!"
