They don't necessarily have to have flat heads for Mario to stay on. If you look at them in SMB2, they are the same width as Mario, so if he kept his legs close together, he could stand on them.

i think its not that good its smb2 and smb combined. got a low rating in nintendo power though.

how do i do crosses anyway?
