Mario Chat / Re: Potential Bowser Plans

Doh...I guess I must have been mixing series, I remeber on the Mario Shows one of them was smart...*sighes* that's the kinda thing I get angry at, mixing canon series with non canon series...ah well. At least a Koopa Kid in You know who's you know what did some thing intelligent.

Zoot-a-loot! It's Zootalo!...Makes sense...I miss his return. *sighes*. Where is Chester Located anyway? If you could find that, someone on the internet is probably around that area or has a save state(If they're emulating like the evil Goombas they are). Someone out there could probably help you. Try Game FAQs message boards, that would be my best advice.

Why does all Bowser Leave all those things there that could easily defeat him? I have a very simple answer to that...It's something the programmers use to make the boss battles more entertaining, creative, and individual than just a few quick stomps on the head or a fire ball (hammer) or two. Lol, but I must adimit i full-heartedly prefer the theories on this topic to that.

Well, here are my games, in no particular order.

SMW+S-Allstars (SNES)
Sonic Jam (SATURN)
Chrono Trigger
Donkey Kong Classics (NES)
FF anthonlogies
The first two are compilations of two of my favorite sereis of Platformers, Mario and Sonic. Then we go into CT, my favorite RPG of all time. Final Fantasy 6 is my second favorite RPG, so it gets in there, and finally Donkey Kong. It has no true end and is addicting as it is fun.

Yes! This may I bought a Dreamcast for 100 bucks, got SA and man...I loved that game! I've gotten quite a few other Dreamcast games, but wait until you lay your eyes on Sonic Advneture 2...My goodness, the ending to that game was so...powerful. I didn't expect it from a Sonic game. It's defeinantly on my top ten endings list...If I had one.

I'm most defineatly looking forward to Mario Sunshine. (Maybe they'll change it to Solar Mario?) Alot of people may argue that it's a long ways off from what Mario should be...But hey, I'm just happy that A)Mario's in it and B)It's something new.

Mario Chat / Re: Favorite Mario Game?
« on: August 24, 2001, 01:31:55 PM »
(My post belongs here-not in a DiC topic! Ahh, the horros of edit copy edit paste.)
Hmm....
1.Super Mario Bros. 3-
It was a game that defined a generation. I Don't think that anybody could talk about the history of platform games without giving a nod to this one. The Mushroom houses, all the power ups, the inventory, the music...aahhh...
2.Super Mario World-
This game really showed me what the SNES could do. I really didn't see the point of it at first, but oooooo...The mouth watering graphics, Yoshi, scaling and rotation (Like when some of the koopa kids die, Bowser is knocked out). Althought it was a pretty easy game, It took me awhile to get 128* on the screen (I think it  was that..) due to that one ghost house in Bowser Valley where you had to "controll" the block path.
3.Super Mario 64-
Sure, Collecting all of the stars and such wasn't exactly Mario, but come on...It was 3D! I remeber so clearly, that Christmas morning when I First went to the top of Bob-omb mountain threw that filthy beast off of the peak...Aaah...
4.Super Mario Brothers 2-
This game was mounumentous.(sp?) All the different characters, each with their unique abilities and stats, and each good at certain levels. To boot it off there were all of those Sub-Con Mushrooms, all the warp zones...And the regular stages. I quite enjoyed it.
5.Mario Kart/Super Mario World 2
These games are tied in my opinion. I probably like SMW2 more, but Mario Kart holds in for nostalgic reasons. I can remeber clears as day, at my babysitters, training as Koopa Troopa while the other kids were napping. The day I Finally beat that snotty thirdgrader and he unplugged my controller...Although it is by far one of the best two player co-op games. SMW2 was very fun, I enjoyed everybit of it. It was easy-I beat it in three Four days of purchasing (And I only got to the first mid-castle on the first day! Darn those third grade math teachers anyway..), but what kept me coming back was trying to get a 100 on each of the levels. I never made it for all of them, but  I think I perfected Three or so.
Sorry to bore you.

*Chocobo's edit-(Posted the reply in wrong topic...'Tis what happens when you're in a hurry.)
I can see that you're working very hard on this. What I suggest is that you write to one of the former carriers of the Mario cartoon and talk stratgey with them. With the release of the Gamecube and Gameboy Advance, there will be more intrest in Mario and freinds, and might improve their viewing.

Hmm...Dosen't come as a surprise really. The Graphics are much better, so the violence that was already there is just being magnified to a higher level (In the eyes of the ESRB). I suppose this will work pretty well. It will make the people that believe Nintendo is too kiddy try the game because it has a T rating (although it probably won't feel all THAT Serious)and serve as a mini eye opener to the public and other game companies. Even if the game still feels "E"ish, you can still admire their guts to make it the point of T. I can see alot of parents being weary about about the idea of it, but perhaps the idea of Mario and Yoshi being in there will ease them up a tad ("Mario hasn't gone down the path of Conker!"). Those are my current comments.

Mario Chat / Re: Funniest part in Paper Mario
« on: August 24, 2001, 08:38:57 AM »
Oh, this is probably really a spoiler, but I Found Fat Shy Guy's inital taste of the cake hilarious. I didn't see that coming. Also when the Ghost out of nowhere appears and scares that little Toad.
There were also a few little hints at earlier games, like after defeating the Goomba King, he flies into the air and hits the "hill" in the background, leaving a band-aid on it, just like when you defeated Castle Four in SMW.

I'm a little disapointed with Link's new look and the direction they're heading in, but I think that in the end Mr. Miyamoto will still produce a quality game.
Paper Mario's Parappa esquie (Sp?) graphics made alot of people doubt the quality of the game, but I know I quite thorougly enjoyed it (Okay, it was SUPER EASY but still it was fun.)
