I think that 3D games need to evolve beyond the collect the thingies mindset. Although lots of them are being churned out, I belive that they are still in a very early stage. Think of a 3D Mario game that was more like Mario3 than 64...

Hey...This was one of my first posts...Either that or "Yoshi the gender bender"...
But anyway, my opinion has changed since then. I think that in time, waluigi will be a welcome addition to the cast.

Well, to me it seems that the generation weaned on the NES and maybe Genesis/SNES are very old and experienced gamers. They've played alot of games, and gotten really good at them. Now everything just seems too easy, and more of the same. I agree, nostalgia or however you spell is one of mankinds's weaknesses. Hooom, Hooom I think that the Playstation was the birth of a new generation. Maybe I'm off my royale rocker, but they trid to market video games to the non-video game crowd. Of course, the graphics really impressed people and they got into it. However, they got into it 'cause of the graphics...Therefore, they were mentaly addicted to graphics and companies had to push this even harder. Of course, the Nesters/Snesters were more interested in the gameplay, the substance, the enjoyment, ya' know? Compaines decided to push towards the Sonies, rather than the nesters, because they belived it would bring more money. It seems that all of us "Nesters" are dying out. Let's just be thankful we've got some companies and people that are still aiming to please the nesters and the sonies both...I started playing video games when I was 3...Heh...

Why bother asking? They've each produced magical games in the past. peopre are going to say one or the other, and basicaly trash the other one..(ecept us at the board. We're so super cool and non-biased.)

I've loved Mario and Sonic. As for the dreamcast, i don't think it's worth it. Just go out and rent Sonic Adventure and a Dreamcast. Dunno, maybe you'll think I'm full of Gyshel Greens. Sonic Adventure was a wonderful Sonic game- it nearly brought a tear to my eye. My only sadness is that I didn't have a memory card, and so I'd have to play through quests over and over again! Ahh, so it goes!

That's been on the back of my mind lately. Will I ever forget such things as Mario, Final Fantasy, etc? After long and hard thinking, I might forget their meaning, but never them. Such things as these days- they're a state of my mind that I'll always revisit. Chances are, I will forget things. Somethings I'll wish I wouldn't of and some I'll wonder why I didn't. But I say this with quite certaintity-Mario has just been to important in my mind to go away forever. Sorry for the babble.

I'm not certain about PS2. I used to want to get it caus the FF games were there, but not that they're online RPGS, I can crap-can that. However, recently announced Goemon looks nice. I'm a die-hard Mystical Ninja Fan and will eagrly await that. It'll probably be pretty cheap by the time it hits america. I defiantly want a Gamecube. It has Miyamoto. And it's about games, not all this all in one box. Miyamoto!
And I'm still praying Itoi will bring EB64 to GC...

I don't have anything against Emulation. It allows people to get together with games they once owned, and lost, or games they never did but always wanted to paly. Also, there's translated ROMS-the origanal reason I got into it. Such games as Earthbound 0 are simply remarkable. It allows people to play games they simple couldn't of. I agree though, it's not the same. When I'm deciding wheater or not to buy a used game, I generaly download the rom, give it a spin, and then purchase it, you know? Until we meet again, and sorry I havn't been here for awile.

Well, technicaly, Baby Bowser turned the world into a story book, and the avergae Joe dosn't have a clue what Dokki Dokki Panic is. They're two completly different worlds, my freind.
