Wouldn't it be more direct to send the person who swears a private message regarding their post?  Demonstrating that you can edit posts doesn't seem to help alert the original poster about their mistake unless they check the thread in which they recently posted--which probably wouldn't happen until someone else makes a separate post in the thread.  Or maybe having your post edited by someone else sends an automatic alert to the offending poster?  But then there wouldn't be a point in leaving messages in the edited post in the first place.

I confess I don't know the specifics on how the forum is moderated.  I imagine there must be a more tactful way than filling someone's post with your own separate conversation.

Returning to the topic at hand, I at least agree with the notion that consent is more important than the gender with whom one is becoming romantically involved.  That's why I never understood the argument that same-sex marriage will lead to marriage between a human and an animal: how would animals give legal consent?

I think the custom title was just a gag, meant to [encourage] you to build up a better reputation as you post here over time.  I think there used to be a way to win a chance to change your custom title by making clever posts over time or something...

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, Toad.  Family deaths give me a sinking feeling inside.  My mother died from liver cancer this summer before I came back here, and I wasn't sure whether/when to say anything.
