That's because there were indeed several pennies.
That was a joke.

And he found them twice.

I wish I had abandoned houses with women's underwear, several pennies, and secret documents pertaining to the CIA coverup of the Goldberg-Tarshis conspiracy in my neighborhood.

So appearantly the Goldberg-Tarshis were expecting people to move in after they left. But that wouldn't explain why they would want to leave all of those personal items behind for the new residents.
Also, the man and woman's names are, respectively, Barry and Sherri.

And appearantly the last people to live in the houses had to leave in a hurry. One house had food left inside of it.

Go back and go down the staircase that was blocked off by police tape. At night.

The police tape was vaguely disturbing.
That was a joke.

The tape can be explained with this very simple explanation: The basement is flooded with sewer water, about three feet deep.
I discovered that by accidently stepping in it.
Here's a picture of it:

Note the ominous smiley face-shaped dents on the wall.

Also, all of the doors have been locked. Including the one I used to get inside of the house with that's shown in the video.
Luckily, someone completely broke one of the windows in the backyard. It should be big enough for someone to fit through.

Next time I get inside, I'm doing some serious investigating.

Very interesting. You should add some commentary on the next one.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I'm thinking of making a documentary on the houses. It's somewhat disturbing to find a nice, modern neighborhood, then realize upon closer inspection that it's totally abandoned.

You should. I've always found abandoned places intriguing. Take Chernobyl; that place really fascinates me, especially that creepy ferris wheel.

You could film a movie here!

Though I think that might be taking it a little too far...
