DK is an ape, not monkey. And neither apes nor monkeys have teeth that looks like mechanical gag choppers.

None of the designs bother me much, but if I would chose any as my favorite, It would be the DKC design. DK actually looks like he has hair.

I think DK is ugly no matter how many subtle re-designs they do.

At least he looks somewhat cool and mysterious with that ominous smirk he usually has in Rare's official artwork. Nintendo's artwork makes him look like a moron.

But DK really isn't supposed to be mean, though. If anything, he's just a really intense fighter, being the protector of his island and all.

DK isn't mean at all. He's pretty nice actually. He's just strong and looks all muscly.
