I went to another Nintendo site (I forgot which one exactly...) and they said that Nintendo agreed to drop the price of the GameCube AFTER Sony drops the price of the PS2! Why is Nintendo letting Sony get the first move? Can't they (Nintendo) just drop the price on their own and let everyone else follw suit?

"Bwa ha ha! Guess who it is, loyal Mario fans...

It is I, King Bowser... ruler of all Koopas, big and small. I have come to take over the Mushroom Kingdom (no, not the place...I mean the WEB SITE!)! Deezer, you will surrender your troops to me, or else you will never see your precious Mario again! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.

It's called business strategy.

If they lower the price first, any potential buyers of the Cube will do it then, and Nintendo would recieve less due to the cut. However, if people are waiting for a PS2 drop, and the Cube drops at the same time, it may sway other PS2 buyers into buying the even cheaper Cube.
