Author Topic: I Need Help With the Super Scope!!!  (Read 5791 times)

I would post this in Game Help, but nobody goes there. Anyway, I bought a used Super Scope for $5 at FuncoLand about a month ago. I was going to buy Yoshi's Safari too, but they didn't have it. Then, last night, I bought Yoshi's Safari at Hollywood Video for $5. So, I turned on Yoshi's Safari, put bateries in the Super Scope and... nothing happened. I tried everything- pressing all of the buttons on the Scope, flipping all of the switches, putting batteries in upside-down, and nothing worked. So does anybody know what I could be doing wrong, or is it broken?

It's a light gun for the Super Nintendo.

Hmm... Apparently, it needs some kind of thing that plugs into the SNES, and I never bought one.

Yeah, you need the infrared receiver unit that plugs into a controller port. If you can find one of those somewhere, you should be good to go.

In case you get it working and you don't have instructions for Yoshi's Safari, you should play with the turbo switch on. The fire button up on top shoots, and the "cursor" button on the front handle lets you jump (only necessary at certain special places).

Bad news (for me). I went to FuncoLand/ Gamestop, and asked for the infared thingamabob. They gave it to me for free. When I got home, It still didn't work. Does anybody know what the problem is?

Well, something probably went bad inside the gun at some point in the past ten years.
