An idea struck me recently while playing Melee the other day... I have these fun modes I made up for Super Smash Bros. Melee that I got ideas for from the Manual. Ie: Super Giant Melee, Hyrule Castle Race, etc...

Well, I thought, we should all share our ideas on all the modes we've made up. Here is a listing of the ones I have made so far...(Except Super Giant Melee, which was shown in the Manual)

Super Giant Melee
Special Melee: Giant Melee
Lives/time: Anything goes
Items: Super Mushrooms only
Stages: Mute City, Great Fox, Battle Field
Characters: Preferably Large characters

Super Tiny Melee
Special Melee: Tiny Melee
Stock/Time: Anything goes
Items: Poison Mushrooms only
Stage: Hyrule Temple
Characters: Preferably Small Characters

You Only Live Twice
Special Melee: Slow Melee
Stock: 2
Items: Cloaking Device, Food, Heart Container, Maximum Tomato, Metal Box, Bunny Hood
Stage: Any
Characters: Any
Other: Handicap: Level 9 for all
       Damage Ratio: .5

Koopa Shell Craziness!
Special Melee: Super Sudden Death
Stock: 30
Items: Red Koopa Shells Only
Stage: Final Destination
Characters: Any
Other: Handicap: 1 for all
Damage Ratio: 2.0

Ice Climbers Melee
Use same rules as Super Giant Melee only using Ice Climbers

Super Smash Bros.: Game & Watch
Special Melee: None
Time: Unlimited
Items: None
Stage: Game and Watch
Characters: Mr. Game and Watch
Other: Team Melee 1 VS 3
Other Rules: Use the Score Display found in Additional Options, one character gets 5 handicap, other three get Handicap 3. Object of the game is to defeat as many Handicap 3 Enemies. However, if they KO you three times or more, you lose. Record High Scores so it is just like a Game and Watch Game.

Pokemon Clash
Special Melee: None
Stock: Any
Items: Pokeballs only
Stage: Pokemon Stadium
Characters: Any Pokemon
Other: Damage Ratio .5
       Handicap: Everyone gets 9

I have a bunch more, but I'll post them later...
Now then, you post any of yours that you have created, tell which ones you like, make suggestions, etc...

Ok. I'm posting another one....

Pokemon Battle
Special Melee: Stamina Melee
Items: None
Teams: 2 VS 2 (Must be all humans because computer will mess it up and be stupid)
Characters: 1 of Any person and a Pokemon on each team
Stage: Pokemon Stadium, or Final Destination
Extra Rules: Not that I support Yu-gi-oh in any way, this is very similar to Pokemon and Yu-gi-oh. Each team stands on one end of the battle field, with the Pokemon in front, other in back. The non-pokemon is the master/trainer, whatever you wanna call it. Like in an RPG, you take turns attacking, however, in this, the pokemon gets 5 seconds to attack. The attacks for the entire match are limited to these:
Unilimited Combos, Weak/Medium Attacks
5 Throws
3 Smashes
1 Charged Up Smash
After a Pokemon is defeated, the Enemy Pokemon can attack the enemy master, and the master can attack the enemy's Pokemon. If both Pokemon are defeated, then the match take son normal Melee rules, and last one standing wins.

Super Smash Bros. Melee RPG

The rules for this are the same as above, however, you do not need teams, you may choose any character/stage, and the RPG styles remains in effect the whole match.

I've still got more! I'll post later.

Super Projectile Melee

Choose a stamina battle under special melee and then choos only characters that have projectile attacks.  Prohibit all direct attacks and fight using only B projectiles.  Fight on a stage that has little ground level and many places to hide and take cover.  No items.

King of the Rock

Play a melee battle on the Kongo jungle and set the time to one minute.  Position all players on the rock on the right side of the stage, then fight for control of the rock.

Bomb Melee

Simple.  Only items are bobombs, and motion sensor bombs.

I wasn't saying that in a jerk tone of  voice. I apologize if I sounded rude, but I was only stating it. The "Haha" was thrown in to show I was just playing around. You may have misinterpreted it , and if you did, I apologize. As for the Super Giant Melee, I stated that I got it from the manual.

This one is a version of the super projectile melee.

"The Meleeix"
special melee: Slow Melee
items: Turn items off
stage: A wide flat stage is best
characters: Fox and Falco only
special requirements: Put the damage ratio as high as it goes and no handicaps.

The point of this melee is too be able to dodge shots and fight in slow-motion like in "The Matrix", and the high damage ratio is to simulate real bullet damage. Fox and Falco only because they have a Kung Fu-like fighting style and they have a gun-like B attack. They also have the close to human body proportions.

Characters: jigglypuff only
Stage: Mute City
special requirements: High damage ratio.  Give them a lot of lives.  this is a funny melee because the Jigglypuff die a lot.

You can also do a variation on the Super GIant Melee. If you use only Bowser on a small stage such as Mute City, or stay in the cave in Hyrule Temple with only hammers, pokeballs, and bob-ombs on.

Also, that Bob-omb one is pretty cool.

Is it that important?
Besides, I like the name "invisibility shroud."

Anyway...

Pokéball catch
Players: 2
Special Melee: none
Stock: 1 life
Items: low-medium, only Pokéballs
Stage: Final destination
Characters: Anyone
Special rules:  One character picks up a Pokéball and throws it straight up into the air.  The second player must catch it (with the Z button) before it hits the ground.  The second player then throws it straight up, etc. until the ball is dropped.  The catching player must then suffer the full brunt of the resulting Pokémon.  That player then picks up the next Pokéball.  (For higher difficulty, try throwing the ball across the stage.)

Spectators
Players: 4 (2 teams of 2)
Special Melee: none
Stock: 1
Items: medium-high, all items
Characters: each team has the same character set-up, with one fighting character and one support character with range attacks (e.g. Pichu/Link, Mario/Peach)
Handicap:  The fighting characters have a handicap of 9, the support characters have 1
Stage: Subcon
Special rules: The two fighting characters must attack each other in the playing field in the middle, while the support characters stay on the opposite ledges.  The support characters may only throw items into the central fray, but not participate unless their teammate's gone.

Eating contest
Players: 2
Speacial Melee:  Super Sudden Death
Damage Ratio: .5
Time: 1 minute
Items: High, only food/party ball
Stage: Anywhere
Characters:  gluttonous characters, such as Yoshi, Kirby, or maybe Mario
Special rules:  The goal is not to kill each other, but to eat as much food as you can.  The winner will be determined afterwards by comparing "Damage recovered" statistics.

Mountain Mayhem

Special Melee: Tiny Melee
Items: Tiny Mushrooms and add up to 3 other items if you wish.
Stage: Icicle Mountain
Characters: Anything Goes
Damage Ratio: 2.0
Handicap: None
Stock: 5

Basically just try to attack your incredibly small enemies, while staying alive yourself by escaping the moving screen.

Yes! Let's start a flame war LIEK OMG BAI PLZ THX

Anyways, to put this BACK ON TOPIC:

Rack up KOs Melee (a.k.a: HAMMER TIME):
Players: preferably 4
Damage ratio: 2.0
Items: Very high, hammers only
99 Stock
Handicap: 1
Super Sudden Death is plausible, but not necessary. It is also feasible to use that "A button only" mode to make the hammers more necessary. Hard to say.

I know I can make more. JUST YOU WATCH.

I'm too lazy to think of a name for this but:

use Super Sudden Death
Items: Super Scope (optional)
Characters: Samus only
Stage: final destination
Moves: only B (charge shot), side B (missile) and shields, dodges, etc.
Usually best with time mode, but stock's okay
Other:  You have to stay on one side of the field at all times (therefore this only works with 2 players...)

So basically you have to hit your opponent with a projectile(no physical contact), and they die!
 Muhuhaha... evil...

 Muhuhaha... evil...
