I found this going to a weird forum board and reading a really strange topic.
Luigison: Question everything!
Me: Why?

Just because you knew dosen't mean everyone else did.

I knew about it, and I've played a Gamecube a total of about 10 times. So, maybe not everyone, but the majority.

I've known this ever since I bought my GCN, which would be years ago.
..And Nintendo did'nt put that in on purpose. According to an old NP issue I have, it was an alternative boot-up sequence or something like that.
Really, who cares anyway?

Why would that mean they didn't put it in on purpose?
That was a joke.

I'm sure they said it wasn't intentional.

Umm it would not be possible to not be intentional.

Explain.

Electronic devices have to be programmed. It couldn't just accidentally make a sound when you held the Z Button. Someone had to record the sound, and someone had to program it to play when you held the Z Button. They also had to compose a third sound, and specifically program it to play only when all four Z Buttons were held. This was intentional, done by people with intentions, to serve an intention.

Nintendo Power is correct, it is an alternative boot-up sequence. An intentional one.

kind of a stupid sound to purposely put on a system.

What sound are you supposed to put on a system?

I agree with LD.
