I think there was another topic like this (maybe someone could merge) but I've always wondered how everyone got their names. I got my name from my skill and affection to SSBM and I didn't want my name to just be "Eric", so go figure! :D

I got my name for 2 reasons:

1:It is close to my own name
and
2: it's the nickname my friends called me in the sixth grade.

I tried to use SuperMarioFan here, as I am a huge Mario fan (and that's what my name is anywhere else on the Net), but there's already someone here named that.
So I thought to myself "Maybe nobody else has 'this' name" as I typed in Toad. It worked, and it should be noted that I like to use Toad in the spinoffs when I can. :D
