If you went mad looking over the details of Yoshi's story and paper Mario, you've come to the right place. In Paper Mario, there was families of Toads. And goombas. But Mario and Luigi were born by a stork. Why didn't they have parents? Goombas and Toads did... That also gives me another question...... How was Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Peach, Yoshi, and etc born? Who did Bowser have a child with in Mario Sunshine?

Hey!  Are you calling my mom a block?!

Actually the Yoshi eggs were probably just stuffed into the blocks by enemies some how so they couldn't stop Bowser.  Why them put them in blocks so Mario could get them out, I don't know.

Supposedly Birdo is supposed to be Yoshi's answer to Peach and Daisy. If that is the case then I pose the following question: If Birdo and Yoshi had a baby, who would be the childs mother?

If at first you don''t suceed - destroy any evidence that you tried in the first place.

I would've saved this for "Ask a Stupid Question" but, what does Birdo have to do with birds? Birds have wings, Birdo doesn't. Birds have beaks, Birds have feathers, Birdo doesn't.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?  The egg.  Dinosaurs.

Birdo may be more related to Yoshi than any bird, but evidence supports that modern birds may be evolutionary decendants of dinosaurs.

Also the door that you enter after beating Birdo has a bird head.  Maybe Birdo stole the eggs from the bird in the doorway?  Or, maybe Birdo is a flightless ancestor of Yoshi?

Maybe Birdo has a beak where that big hole in her head is that shoots eggs is.  you know, her mouth.  But to get the eggs to fit out when she shoots them, she has to take her beak off.

Pteradons and the like were NOT dinosaurs. They were reptiles, but they were not actually dinosaurs.

However, that doesn't eman dinosaurs evolved into birds. For one thing, only a few species of dinosaurs probably evolved into birds, not all of them. They were probably small bipedal dinosaurs like raptors. There is evidence that rpators had feathers. These smaller feathered dinosaurs, over millions of years of natural selection would have become lighter. Their feathers would changed funtion from just insulation and display to help them to first glide, then achieve flight. There's no absolute proof that birds evolved form dinosaurs, but there's evidence in their bone structure and evidence of feathers, I'd be very surprised if birds didn't evolve from dinosaurs.

I'm not saying he's wrong, but I can't base my scientific understanding solely on Creation Science Evangelism.  To me Christian Science is neither Christion nor Scientific.  Science is a process that looks at all the evidence and attempts to figure out what may  have happened from that evidence.  Many creationist look at problems with preconceived notions.  I am a Christian and scientist, but don't think the two disagree in principle because they start from different places.  Religions try to answer the question "why?", while science usually ask "how?".  The article you posted references "Search for the Truth", where what is "Truth" is already decided and the data is selected/made to fit that "truth".  That is not a good way to do science.

I see what you're saying. But most evolutionists do the same: they are totally convinced that evolution is true, and they try to make the evidence fit their theory. Though their not always honest. (In fact, some of their evidences have been proven to be hoaxes.)

I agree with you goodie.  Anybody can believe something so strongly that they are blinded by it.  That's why it sometimes take scientist and anyone for that matter to ascept giant leap in paradigms.

The supposed dino/bird fossil that was presented in China made worldwide news, but after a lot scienctists examined it they all came to the conlusion that the villager had faked it.  Strangly enough the fake was a splice of several fossil and one of them was later found to be part of a dinosaur that actually had bird like features.

I am generally a skeptic, but try to keep an open mind.

Back on topic.  Sort-of.  I still think the Revolution controller may use a type of touch screen like found in some car navigation systems that have force feed back button that you can actually feel on the screen.  This makes since to me because Nintendo said the best way to think of the Rev controller is to imagine one that would work for all their other controllers, but they also said once that the Revolution contorller would not have a screen.  I could be way of base, but maybe the "screen" is actually a film that is wrapped around the controller.  Regardless I am very interested in seeing how Nintendo's console controllers have evolved.  I just hope they grow like weeds and take over the fertile gaming market, because Nintendo's extinction would be devastating.

LATE POST:

Evolution within species is one thing, and evolution from one species to another is something else. It has also been disproven, if I remember correctly.
That was a joke.

Luigison

« Reply #44 on: May 28, 2005, 11:32:35 PM »
It's hard to disprove a negative.  Anyway it depends on what you mean by species.  People with Downs Syndrome have a different number of chromosomes.  Most changes in species are negative and don't get carried on, but occasionally a deformity could be an advantage.  Pandas for example do not have opposable thumbs, but a deformed finger serves the same purpose.

Sorry not to let you have the last post, but evolution is generally considered proven by scientists.  Many laypersons consider it "just" a theory, but theories are not something scientists make up at a late night party.  They spend a lot of time researching and testing different explanations.  I'm not saying we came from monkeys.   That's absurd and no scientist believes it, but we are related to the other hominoids and share well over 90% of our DNA with most of them.

Opinions in this post are solely that of Luigison.  Facts, on the other hand, are facts.

Edit:  Sorry for my arrogance.  I never thought of it this way:  "Simply because they cannot be proven wrong, does not make them right." - Scott Berkun

I would consider it the end of the world if Nintendo made Mario Games realistic; If they made the characters look like real people with normal noses...

Well, being messed up and not knowing where you came from would be more satisfying than being lonely...  Or more satisfying than scraping your leg.

What's that supposed to mean, exactly?

Ever notice how the name "Playstation" sounds more kiddy than "Gamecube" or "Nintendo 64"?

I would like to point out that I found it hilarious (especially with this thread instantly popping into my mind) that WarioWare: Twisted! features a microgame which commands you to "Evolve!" wherein you repeatedly mash the A button to change a chimp into a man.

Chimp-human hybrid? I once saw this progarm on the Discovery Channel about the possiblity of a chimp and human hybrid and if one chimp by the name of Oliver might;ve been one. AS you can umagine, no one really w3ant to test it (and Oliver turned out to be whole chimp, but a very odd one).
