Well, I didn't get Wii. Again. But this time, there were no lies about the shipment...
My grandma and I left her house around 6:45 am. We drove out towards the Target that expected 10-50 Wiis, planning to stop for coffee, but since we saw people waiting in line at Circuit City (hey, no lie this time), my grandma decided to drop me off at Target around 6:50 am. Well, right when I got there, I noticed a police car, a fire truck, and a short line. I thought this was a good thing, but when I walked to the line, I was greeted by, "they just passed out the first 15 and that's all they have." o_o was my thought response, but instead I asked if they would be receiving any more Wiis and got, "no." So, I stood outside Target until my grandma came back. I told her the news and drove away with her to Toys R Us.
So, we got there and there was a lineup of about 50. Thing is, once we got there, we learned that no one knew the expected amount (if they could get ~80 on launch day, you think they could get at least 50 today). So, we waited in line, and figured we were #47 in line. So, we waited for 15 minutes until some college girls came and said, "they only have 15, but we'll sell you are #1 and #4 spots for $200 each." ._. I thought, but I still jokingly offered them $20 for the spots, but they just sarcastically laughed and went on about how so many people wanted their spots (I'll revisit this later). So, I waited 45 more minutes until 8:00, the magic moment. There we were officially told by a TRU employee that they only had 20 and would hand out vouchers. Well, we went inside anyways and guess what: those college girls were still numbers 1 and 4 in line, and they got Wii (which mustn't be that important if you'd sell your spots). Well, I then went home, and here I am. I guess I won't be getting Wii until March. And there's my ANGST.
