The only PS1 game I've ever played was a Crash game.  It was a great game, but I wouldn't place it in the same ranks of greatness as Zelda, Pokemon, SSB, and Mario.  But yeah, if you have a PS1, I'd recommend Crash, and if you like dragons, get Spyro.  I've never played any Spyro games, but I've heard some of them are really good, and if you love dragons, go for it.

I recommend Final Fantasy VII, even though everyone else did.

WHOA. Has anyone here played soul blade (prequel to the soul calibur series) Thats my fav sword fighter. I just got it, and it occured to me, the should make something similar with the famous swordsmen (and women) of nintendo. soul blade is still a great game. (tekken is also one of my true favorites)

The game to get is Okami. It's like Zelda, but prettier and with load times.

If you like Battle Mode in Mario Kart, Twisted Metal is a game kind of like MK's Battle mode.

-SpiderMan
-Silhouette Mirage (Even though it's not as good as the Saturn version.)
-Parasite Eve 1/2
-Tenchu (I'm not sure what kind, but I know some are available for the PS1.)

For what is most likely the greatest entertainment experience of the previous millenium, I recommend Army Men.
