Despite being incredibly rusty in Mario Kart (or really any Mario games at all), I signed up to a Mario Kart tournament at my work, and after starting with 48 contestants, I'm into the semi-finals! Just got one more cup to race against three others and I'll be in the finals; pretty excited to see how it will go down.

Edit: After qualifying 2nd in both of the opening rounds, I managed to tie for 1st in the third round, but lost the tiebreaker. The layout of the tournament was such that there was a wildcard spot in the final, so I got that. 1st place on DK Jungle Parkway and Yoshi Valley, 2nd on Banshee Boardwalk and that was enough to clinch it! (Thank goodness for that, I'm terrible at Rainbow Road...)

Seeing sites like SMBHQ and TRsRockin' in the current states, after having not visited them for so long, is rather like coming back to your childhood house to find they've ripped it down and turned it into a brothel.

The hazard-free For Glory stages would be the best idea if they were Battlefield clones instead of Final Destination ones. FD favors projectiles.

Or, better yet, unique tourney-legal stages with different amounts of platforms at different heights, different sizes, slightly different combat dynamics, etc. No reason to have a roster full of Battlefields and Final Destinations when you can have a few Smashvilles or Lylat Cruises thrown in.

Get a load of this guy. Supported by Hitler himself.

I do love how people are supporting the petition just so they can blast it...

Personally don't think I'd be using For Glory at all, I'm not that competitively minded. Give me high damage ratios and Bob-Ombs on Very High any day, thanks.

I think anyone who is too bitter to be happy for someone who's in a functional relationship doesn't deserve to be with anyone in the first place. If anything, it should be something to give people hope. Sort of like how people watch romantic comedies to try and validate their own desires. That or Ryan Gosling. But seriously, good job man.
