Wario and Waluigi were raised by Kamek to fight the Mario Brothers.

Not really much proof to it, other than that it explains their hatred for the Mario Bros, possibly also why they dress like them. As for the Wario Bros not being closer to Bowser... well, I doubt that Bowser would be anything but the favourite child of the Koopa family. There could be quite a bit of bitterness there.

Peach stored her magical powers from SMB1 in the wands from SMB3.

It's too much of a security risk to trust all of that power to one person. After being kidnapped and then returned, it would make sense for Peach to store a lot of power in different objects, just in case she gets kidnapped again.

Happiness will only come from within, and while it's nice to have that person there who cares for you, it won't do an iota of good for either of you if you can't care for you. Not to degrade people who are happy in relationships, but I'd much rather be happy and single than sad and taken.

It's REALLY weird to finally see a numbered Mario Kart, but 7 has some significance as a lucky number, so I can see why they went with it.  Also, not having "3D" in every title is nice.  Whenever I see "3D" in a game's title I instantly associate it with [dukar]ty PlayStation 1 games.

I associate it with Duke Nukem 3D, personally... Mario with a Devastator on Hollywood Holocaust, anyone?

There's a Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 machine at the arcade in my local shopping centre. I've had a couple of goes on it, it's pretty fun, and feels very much like a Mario Kart game (albeit with a large amount of weird items).

Which reminds me, I should try and add more info for #2 on the Mariopedia. It even states that #2 was only released in Japan, so unless I've been walking to Japan all of this time, is a bit off. :P

Unfortunately, I still haven't found an answer to this problem; I've since bought a new computer and a new wireless adapter for my computer, but I'm still having no luck connecting to games. My advice to you is to check your modem/router for any faults, look through your firewall rules, and perhaps get onto the Steam forums and contact some people there.

The 3DS is not "a slightly fancier DS." That's like saying the Gamecube was a slightly fancier N64.

And the GameCube was beaten by the Xbox and absolutely demolished by the PS2, so I hope that's as far as the analogy goes.

That said, now that the price is dropping, I might give the 3DS a look in before the Christmas season. Star Fox 64, Mario Kart and the Virtual Console are just too appealing to knock back.

Melee and Brawl have more characters, more stages, all of that good stuff, but for some reason I just prefer the gameplay of the original by far. That's not even just nostalgia talking, I only started playing SSB64 a few months before I got Melee. It just feels... more fun? Plus, I have a hell of a time spiking my friends as Falcon. :D
