Mario Chat / The Importance of Wario Land 3
« on: March 12, 2002, 09:47:35 AM »
I really, truly, badly need the enemy list for Wario Land 3!  If it's listed in instructions or something, please write it up.  I'm working on the biggest Mario project ever, and right now is the first step: Gathering the name of every Mario enemy, boss, and big boss in the Mario universe.  I have absolutely every single game except Wario Land 3.  I even got VBWL and Luigi's Mansion: All 50 boos, and other ghosts!  Please help me!

Mario Chat / New records!
« on: March 11, 2002, 09:24:02 AM »
Well, remember dozens of months ago when I had reached the ludicrous record of Phase 46 in Mario Bros. for SMA?  Well, I've brought up that record to a milestone of "Phase 50".  Incredible?  I hope so!

Also in SMW: SMA2 I got every dragon coin in the game.  After you get all the dragon coins, they all turn into Peach coins, and serve some purpose.  I also got all 96 secrets, and beat Bowser.  Now you can teleport to any level possibly want right away!

And since my friend is stuck out of town, cause we got this BBBIIIGGG blizzard in Ontario, I must watch his house.  He has an N64, that I don't have.  And I got a record of 6 stars in 5 minutes!  And no one of those stars was beating the bomb king!  Actually I was gonna rent Paper Mario, but the ****ed video store was closed!  Lousy sons of... oh, back on topic!  Anyway, me and my other friend were seeing how many stars I could get that night.  We stayed at the out-of-towner's house for an hour and a half, and I got 27 stars.

Mario Chat / Mario Tennis!
« on: March 09, 2002, 12:44:39 PM »
Mario Tennis for NGC should have all 18 characters from the original, then some SMRPG characters.  Also maybe my wish will come true about Mallow and Geno being in MP4!  And maybe even in the new Mario Kart.  Thank you square!  You finally chose the right decision of the only good console company out there!  Long live Nintendo!  We'll keep having to buy Nintendo's products more and more and more, until Sony is dead and Microsoft too, and they all have to live in Nintendo's dumpsters!  MWA HA HA!  GO NINTENDO!

Mario Chat / Yoshi? Homo***ual?
« on: March 04, 2002, 06:00:47 PM »
I just read the new Mailbag, and someone said that Yoshi could be a homo***ual.  Because in the Mario Tennis manual, he gets jiggy with Birdo, who is supposed to be a guy.  But, is Birdo a boy or girl.  Also another thought that I had was the game play of "Yoshi's Story".  Just the way it was built.  It was fun, but it was "cutesy".  Now then, a big happy tree, and collecting happy hearts, the Yoshi's grow happier.  What do you think?  Is Yoshi a homo***ual?

Mario Chat / Yoshi's Island is a work of art!
« on: March 02, 2002, 12:16:50 PM »
I love Yoshi's Island.  I've been playing it quite a bit lately, for it is brand new to me, and it finally gives me a "fresh" Mario game, instead of all those useless remakes that lose their touch after a while.  And on my SNES, Yoshi's Island is da bomb.  I've been humming the tunes, and stuff.  I'm already at World 5!  It is super challenging, and although the annoyance of Mario's crying, it still rules.  It has that Mario touch, that you just can't beat.  It will also be able to remake for GBA, on these buttons:

A= Jump
B= Lick
L= Throw
R= Lock

Just like that!  But I probably won't get it on GBA, or I'll probably stop getting remakes altogether.  I realized after buying SMA and SMA2, I wouldn't buy remakes anymore.  Nintendo has a tendancy to hurt their games by decreasing the challenge, and putting voices that "Annoy" and they don't improve on the game's basis.  Also they have a tendancy to remake Mario Bros. a bit too many times.  They should put a different mini-game such as Wrecking Crew, or donkey Kong Jr.

Mario Chat / Super Mario World Super Mario Advance 2: Great Game!
« on: February 27, 2002, 05:44:32 PM »
This new Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 is great.  My mother picked it up for me in Toronto and I like it.  The sound FX and music are slightly altered, along with the ability to push Yoshi around.  Also Yoshi's eating effects are nicely done, for he doesn't just swallow the enemies, he just puts them in his mouth, and then you can spit them out, or let them stay in and swallow them.  SMA2 is also compatible with Super Mario Advance, so you can have Multipak fun, like playing 2 player classic where you cooperate as a team.  Also, the voices in this game aren't annoying.  They hardly ever talk.  They speak rarely, such as when they get an item, get hit, finish or start a level, and very little talking.  All 96 secrets are identical, and you can save whenever you want.  Also when you get hit, after you have a feather or fire flower, you only go back to Super Mario, instead of being small mario.  When you jump off Yoshi, Mario screams "Yippee!" and it's funny.  The Mario Bros. is a clone, and is yet again awsome.  Get it: It's no mistake!

Mario Chat / Finnaly!
« on: February 26, 2002, 09:25:49 AM »
I've always been known as the Mario Master, but there's one game I know next to nothing about: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island!  I've always wanted that game, but could never find it.  My mom, who is currently in the city, called me last night and she said she got me Yoshi's Island!  But guess how much it costed: $50!  50!  OMG!  The guy there said that is was a really rare, wanted, game that was hard to find, but my mom got it for me.  Finally I can play the Mario game I barely know anything about.  I am happy.  She also told me that the clerk said that other classics such as Robotrek and Super Adventure Island were over $100 in value!  Wow.  But there's more luck than that!  My mom also got me Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2! Now I can play my 2nd favourite Mario game wherever I go!

Mario Chat / Toadstool lost forever!
« on: February 25, 2002, 05:52:52 PM »
I just went to the SMW: SMA2 site, and they refer to her as Princess Peach all the time.  They don't even mention the name Toadstool!  It's lost forever!~

Mario Chat / Lacking in Creativity!
« on: February 25, 2002, 09:37:31 AM »
We're all seeing updated classics of our favourite games, but it is really what we want?  I think not!  Nintendo is really lacking in creativity!  We don't want new versions of games we've already beat!  We want new ones!  With new ideas!  They think they know what we want, they're wrong!  Although the classics are good, we need something fresh!

I was wondering what everyone thought of "Ultimate Trivia" Who Wants to be a Mario Merchandisaire!?  Should I post round 2, or should I not?

Mario Chat / What was the first Mario game you all played?
« on: February 19, 2002, 03:01:58 PM »
We all know our faves, the oldest, newest, and best Mario games, but what was the first one you ever played?  When was the first time you picked up an upsidedown NES controller and made Mario jump into the first hole?  My first game played was Super Mario Bros. 3, and still my favourite!

Mario Chat / Who else here beat the Lost Levels?
« on: February 19, 2002, 02:59:48 PM »
Did anyone on this site ever beat SMB: The Lost Levels on SMALL-STARS, or on SMBDX?  I beat it SMALL-STARS (Super Mario All-Stars) last year, and the one on SMBDX recently, cause I just got it for christmas.  I know it is the hardest Mario game ever built, and it challenged me!  Did anyone else beat it?

Mario Chat / Mariopedia
« on: February 07, 2002, 06:20:49 PM »
Mariopedia is great, and I hope it's done soon!  It sure is coming along.  You just need pictures for Paper Mario, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and Wario Land 4.  Maybe a couple others, but it's great!
